Jesus! Talk about infantile.

Hey flash, you're big on "snide remarks" and direct quoting to make the forum work better. What do you make of this then eh?
How do you know it's not already saved in his private collection ?

The arms don't look wide enough to successfully balance a cup of tea on for my liking.
That armchair must be brand new Stu cause there's no indent on the seat from sitting on your fat ass doing nothing while sneering oh-so-cleverly on the net at those who do. Wonder where you put the TV remote?

And where do you stuff the cash saved from taking "freebies" from the "sheep"?

Strange times indeed. :D

Cahill captain of the PL champions.
I know there's some gooners who don't rate him highly but I like him.
Remember when Wenger stubbornly wouldn't offer any more than what, £6mil for him? We desperately needed strengthening in defence at the time and he'd have improved us then and he'd still improve us years later.
Just another example (not that any more is needed) of how Wenger has not used the resources available to him to improve us. Rather trying to do things on the cheap to propagate the "genius" tag that his followers love to use.

Lol - the man who claims others are obsessed referring to comments about sheep from about FIVE years ago

Must have touched a nerve !

By the way, the armchair was a "freebie" (another endless boring obsession!). Come to think of it, I haven't seen Robin L for a while !

Incredible isn't it - you can go round taking a swipe at just about everyone, digging out comments from years ago and ordering people about like some form of little Hitler......but a little picture of an armchair and a reference to Wiggy and suddenly we're squealing to mods. Hilarious !

Freebie......freebie......freebie.......sheep......sheep.......sheep. There, I've said it again. I'll come back in 2022 when you're still boring everyone shitless with it

And I'm still waiting for any quote from me to be dug up sneering at anyone at all for protesting. I think you'll find, on the contrary, I've praised those who have protested. Shame you've adopted the superfan mentality of Highbury JD and now sneering at anyone who (a) has CHOSEN not to go as their own form of protest and (b) hasn't made a banner or participated in some form of protest and (c) dares to have any sort of opinion that Kroenke isn't a good owner

5yrs ago? Just like Wenger when you tell porkies you need a good memory.

Are the "sheep" you refer to the same ones you happily take the "freebies" off....? Hypocrisy is strong in this one.
From Feb 2017.......

Did they contact you and ask if you want to upgrade mate?

I have a red membership that automatically renews each year, but I've just received an email saying that my silver will renew.
Wondering whether it's a cock up or if I've been upgraded as well. Seems strange that they'd upgrade without asking if I want to or not.

Yes. You just get automatically upgraded apparantley. I know of a few this time around whove been upgraded and didn't know until they checked online.

So, would replacing Wenger with a more ambitious and modern manager address our problems, or would it be pointless unless Kronke is also removed?

It is naive to suggest that Kronke has been directly responsible for our relative decline as a force in British football, or inability to become a force at the top of the European table as we were promised when we left the Emirates. He has not bought the players, negotiated their overblown contracts, failed tactically. The manager must be directly accountable, and removing him should be a no-brainer for any club with genuine ambition.

But there is the rub, and it is why ultimately removing Wenger is necessary but not remotely sufficient. It has been suggested (DB10, and others) that Kronke's "only" real failing as our owner is that he hasn't removed the manager. That's a bit like saying that John Wilkes Booth was a pretty regular sort of guy apart from that one rash decision he made at the theatre the night Lincoln attended. The point is, his failure to remove Wenger given his underwhelming achievement over the past decade is a fundamental failing which speaks volumes about the American's priorities and what he looks for in terms of key performance indicators for the club. While there are a large number of managers who could take the club forward to some extent given the constraints under which they would be working (Koemann, Eddie Howe) there are a relatively smal number who could genuinely deliver us the type of success our fans dream of: the likes of Simeone, Allegri, Anceloti, possibly Zidane..... Had Wenger been sacked a year ago, would Conte have been persuaded to manage Arsenal with Kronke as Chairman?

So in summary: I agree that we have to focus all of our energy on getting Wenger out, but we should not for one second imagine that will have any dramatic or lasting impact on the long-term success of our club. Wenger is the battle; Kronke the war.

Probably because people don't want to see another season under Wenger and simply don't believe the board have the guts to get rid of him, staying quiet is backfiring on them, hopefully enough fans wont be mugged by the club into thinking Wenger is going before renewing their ST.

They've really backed themselves into a corner now and must be hoping like f*ck that we get top 4 or at least win the cup, otherwise they are going to look like, well actually, exactly what they are!.

Those who have been on the ST waiting list and are due to be offered a ST will have to wait until it is clear if we are going to be in the CL or Europa League next season as the price will be different.

Those calls will be going out end of May, beginning of June.

I don't think whether or not Wenger is still manager will influence the price. It may influence whether the offer is accepted or not though.

You see this is where I disagree with some who reckon Kroenke is "equally to blame" with Wenger.
He took over in 2011. That's 6yrs ago not "a decade" So Kroenke cant be expected to sack anyone back then.
Also if you remember back in 2011 was the first real mention of fans actually protesting with banners in the ground. So a lot of fans were turning at that time and associate Kronke rightly or wrongly with that pivotal time and also Wengers disastrous trolley-dash after the 8-2.
And don't forget the 4-4. Also 2011 but nothing to do with Kroenke at all but perhaps is associated with him because he took over that season.

Personally I've wanted Wenger out from way before I'd even heard of Kroenke so this is probably why I don't feel he is to blame for our on field issues. I wasn't blaming anyone but Wenger back in 2008 or before or after that and I'm not blaming anyone but Wenger today.
