Another win in the never-ending VT run for The Old Fraud
It was great to see the WOB plane, however brief
It's fucking pathetic that the orc scum keep this bullshit pantomime-style 'rivalry' going since Pulis left them. Not helped by TOF's typical snobbery, sadly. Move the fuck on, you inbred cúnts. Shawcross deserved the pelters he got for breaking Ramsey's leg; for them to have booed Ramsey in return over the years is vile.
It was a shame that Welbeck was dropped for Giroud, who tends to be more effective as a super-sub. Very disappointing to hear our fans singing that TOF 'Has won more than you' for the second game running - It comes across like an endorsement of his continuing the purgatory at our club. Like defending him for the sake of defending the club. Stoke fans unsurprisingly sang for TOF to stay.
Unusually for us, we had the better of the few chances, thanks to Stoke sitting deep. It was a shame that Monreal wasted a decent chance to score, then hit the post a little later on. Still a largely tedious first-half though, until the previously anonymous Giroud scored the tap-in to surely secure the VT for his spiritual father. These overpaid bottle-job wankers will save him again.
A wonderful through ball from Sanchez (FUCKING PAY HIM!) and a nice finish from Ozil to make it 2-0. TOF's celebrations were quite telling, like the Citeh semi, he knows he's staying. Fuck you Stoke, for not giving us a trademark defeat at the Britannia.
The game started to get bad tempered, with tackles flying all over the place and Crouch's 'hand of God' pulled one back for Stoke, as TOF lay into the fourth official. The orc crowd got very fired up. It was a shame that Sanchez got hurt and signalled to come off, although TOF was in no rush, despite already being a few minutes past the magical 70th minute. Somehow, the injured Sanchez scored our third goal, dribbling and shooting, with the ball going through Shawcross' legs. Beautiful. It was nice to see Holding make a cynical foul on the wanker who injured Debuchy. TOF's spiritual sons Ramsey and Giroud then combined to score the fourth goal for our first win at the Britannia since the leg-break game.
I hoped we'd fail to retain the VT somehow, as this meaningless run had to end for even the slightest chance that TOF will finally go, regardless of a bumming from the champions at Wembley in two weeks time. Sadly, the Everton game on Sunday week looks like topping The Hawthorns 2012 and St James' Park 2013 for VT celebrations. After losing to West Brom, Palace and the scum, as well as two and a half months of dire results, I really thought we'd finally fail to retain the VT and see off TOF. Where's The Stoke Three when you need them?
Another two/four more years of this post-2008 purgatory?
WENGER OUT!
