There's not a club on the planet, at any level, that would not sack a manager that has not improved his team's league position for ten years, unless that club is totally financially stunted/bankrupt and literally unable to dream of competing with those above. No matter how big or small the club or how high or low the level, moving - however slowly - in the right direction is the essence of sporting competition. After being upgraded from red to silver last week and now being offered a season ticket, I could feel a bit appreciated as a supporter for the first time in years....but it all smacks of a bit of desperation really.

When I declined my ST offer a few years back, (telling them to call me again the second you know who pisses off) unlike others who have turned one down and got shuffled back in to the pack, the club booted me completely off the list and trousered my 15 quid

I know of others, even some from on here, who have refused an offer but were kept on the list. Not sure why I got booted, I was more than polite to the nice lady who rang!

I have often phoned Sky and said "I'm thinking of closing my account because the programs are a bit dull and there are too many repeats" and they always gave me a reduced rate for a few months or an upgrade or some kind of incentive to stay with them. I told a mate about it and he phoned them and said "I'm closing my account because the programs are all rubbish and repeats" and they said ok and shut him the fuck down. Nearly PMSL.

My dads mates still have their ST's ... apparently they've heard nothing. No emails, no calls and nothing in the post.

If the renewal date is 1st like it always has been then people have less than 3 weeks to decide and probably less than that by the time anything is announced. That is disgraceful. It probably comes back to the club and Wenger not knowing what European competition but they could at least say something. As an ex season ticket holder I still get emailed a load of crap from Arsenal on a regular basis.

Whether the fraud is staying or going is another massive thing to take into consideration but don't expect Arsenal or Wenger to consider the ordinary fan. The whole thing is a fucking shambles but I'm not surprised.

We've just played two teams that were on the beach, in addition to a Utd that were between a European semi and he has the cheek to take a swipe at the Liverpool / West Ham situation. Even more infuriating is that you just know that this moronic claptrap will be repeated by the akb, despite the total absence of reason and accuracy in the argument. I still believe that the majority are still behind him, or at least non-committal and it shakes your confidence in humanity that people will buy any story, regardless of the lack of reason and evidence, if it suits their agenda.

They'll follow a cult-like ideology with something as ultimately insignificant as a football club, so it's hardly a surprise that they'll believe the lies and support genocides as seen in Nazi Germany, Rwanda, the DRC, Liberia, Indonesia and on and on. I think you are bang on the nail there, mate. I still think we that want him gone are in the minority, a large minority for sure, but still the minority tbh. And if we win the FA Cup and/or nick 4th place there are a lot of Gooners that will just drift back to wanting him to stay - I honestly believe that. And I'm not talking about Gooners posting about enjoying winning the FA Cup on here for example, but rather Gooners that will actively then want him to stay because of top 4 or the Cup. I said at the beginning of the protests that these "fence sitting" or "undecided" Gooners were a large group and were needed onside with the protest, but I don't think the protest pulled too many in and if it did I don't think it retained them - for whatever reason. And I'm not having a dig at anyone there, as I believe those fence sitting Gooners are the hardest ones to reach and retain so not retaining them is not a reflection on anyone.

Personally, I hope we win the FA Cup, and I will celebrate it and I still want Wenger gone no matter what. I justify that because I FIRMLY believe he will stay at least one or two more seasons no matter what we win or lose or where we finish in the PL.
