THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You mean this Honours page under the "Teams" tab?

TA6 is a legend and I fcuking loved the guy when he was a player for us - we have never had a player as gifted as Bergkamp, and PV4 will always be in my top 3 AFC legends of all time, but TA6 was THE leader and the driving force that symbolized everything that I loved about my football club 8)

It is criminal that he has never been given a job, any job, in what should be his spiritual home

I can see Wenger being sneeringly dismissive of Tony's comments.

Oh, of course. Some snide shit along the lines of: "He's coached a few teams and none of them have done anything. Now he knows how hard the job is. " Exactly what he did with Gary Neville. In fact, exactly what he does to anybody who actually challenges themselves and had the bottle to try something new. Anybody who isn't happy to sit around earning a fortune for specialising in failure.

I've even heard Arsenal "fans" laughing at him and calling him a drunk all while revelling in the modern day shit fest that is Arsene FC .
Sorry I think you are being a bit precious here. I loved him as a player and a captain but his dress sense does invite ridicule.
No excuse for calling him a drunk though.
Dress sense???? who the fuck are you the fashion police?????

Tony Adams must look at the current Arsenal team and just despair.
He was a winner - there are NO winners at Arsenal these days because Wenger's greatest legacy will be that "winning is what other clubs do"

He has convinced everyone at board room level, the playing staff and the majority of supporters that not winning is ok- ALL BECAUSE HE IS NO LONGER CAPABLE OF WINNING

He will go down in history as the worst manager we have ever had, the man who gave us a few years of glory, but who was then happy to destroy the club, just because HE refused to leave :banghead:

ok so he has come out and said it this morning at the press conference:

"HIS FUTURE WILL BE DECIDED AT A POST CUP FINAL BOARD MEETING"

what do you think will be acceptable for them to announce the 2 year extension then ? - a competitive defeat to Chelsea ?
might he go if we get hammered by 4 or 5 ??

5th place and a mauling in the final..chavs won't stiffen us even though they easily could. It'll be 2-0 or 3-1 chavski enough for le bulbeye to pen a new deal.

yeah we will probably win the first half 1-0 and so he can go on about winning the FA Cup if we only played the 1st half...
then he can bring in his old the team were jaded excuse. "Yes er well Chelsea could er relax for sometime before ze cup final because they had already won ze league. But for us...special circumstances I believe because we had to fight until the very last day to get ze 4th place trophy"
