Having been bullish on the sociopaths downfall, I'm more inclined to think this is how it plays out with gazidis falling on his sword and a Wenger spoutathon of shit about how the CEO wasn't behind him and the fans turning responsible for where the team is. It's a clusterfuck of club, and if this happens I'm done with it all. Finally and forever

Would be utterly astounding that Wenger has been offered a new deal, never mind him befotiaring or issuing ultimatums. But entirely believable with this board.
This is what I'm expecting as well and they will sell it to us as a progressive move to push the club forward when in reality we could have done all this several years ago, this is the result of passive 'ownership', no drive, no ambition, no risk taking, just dull, boring, predictable s**t, we might as well be Tesco.

I hope next season every home game is half empty and the one's who do go are just there to chant Kroenke is a c**t and Wenger out.

Wenger wil not tolerate a Director of Football at his club....

Fuck me you are not dealing with a normal person here, he is a proven liar, sly and manipulating as they come, thick skinned and completely stubborn, he takes no notice of dissent, intact would make him dig in even further....thats what you are dealing with

And of course he has nothing else in his life, and small matter of £8.9million every year paying the bills.......

the thing is what is so different from when the last contract was announced in 2014 ?
Wenger still makes money for Kroenke
so why wouldnt he be offered a new contract?

and why do you think the ground will be half empty next season?
there are still many who sadly will still renew their season ticket.
Does he still make money for him though? Coins in a top wage, spent nearly 100m on complete dross last year, our wage bill is nearly twice as high as Spurs' and he managed to minimise our revenue from CL progression and PL prize money whilst failing to deliver CL football next year.

In years gone by Wenger has made Kroenke money by not spending the money on transfers which any manager serious about winning the league would, yet scraping into 4th. Now he is in the habit of spunking away ridiculous sums on average players and sensible money says we will face a huge battle for top 4 next season if he stays.

Not saying that Kroenke will give him the boot but he's hardly a model of financial efficiency right now.

I don't actually think its as complicated as that mate, but you might be right. When Shit for Brains announced there was an announcement to be made 'very soon' about 2 months ago it was coming into a run of fixtures that were ultimately winnable and I reckon they were waiting for the good news moment to come any time soon......but quicker than you can say West Brom and Palace we were suddenly out on our arses.....so they waited and they waited. I honestly think if the old Spacker had achieved top 4 yesterday it would have been announced right there and then.....so now its the cup final

When we get smashed there it will need a couple of weeks for the mood to die down and tons of positive stories about Alexis and Ozil wanting to stay together with the new signing from Schalke and the promise of lots of 'top top super quality' to come.....and then it will be announced

Just occured to me hasn't Wenger got out of jail yet again in one regard?, next season for the first time CL football only counts for something like 10% of TV revenue where as in the past it was maybe 30% or so, yet again Wenger has been a lucky c*nt, another excuse for the board to keep him, had he dropped out of top 4 a few years ago it would make him look a lot worse in the eyes of the bean counters (the other one's  ) .

Sounds about right, I don't think anyone is buying the "super super quality" bs he spouts any more though, and I think Alexis is off to Bayern which will damage the board's ability to spin Wenger staying as even remotely positive even further, I imagine there's a lot of head scratching, nail biting and intense staring going on at Arsenal's latest board meeting, Usmanov has timed it perfectly as well to put the pressure on them to 'do something', trouble is they don't have a clue what.

It's carry on at the Emirates this summer which is about right since we've become a joke of a club.

And right on cue a super super signing coming up?.

Arsenal in talks to sign Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen. Release clause £6.8m. Top scorer in Belgium

I'm waiting for the following Club announcement circa 01/06/17:

'Arsene Wenger has with great reluctance, humility and utter dedication decided to stay on as Manager of Arsenal Football Club PLC when begged by the board. We the board were unfortunately unable to secure the services of a suitable replacement with the requisite knowledge and skill set to take over from our Beloved Leader. When asked by the board if he would deign to remain Arsene Wenger felt that in the best interests of his beloved club and his devoted fans it was the right thing to do.'

If he was going then the club would have pushed the boat out last game of the season and given him a big send off! He's going nowhere, he knows it, the club knows it.......and unfortunately we know it. Nothing will change, we already in talks with the Nigerian kid who plays in Blegium.....the new Sanogoals! Wonga will celebrate the new 2 year contract by signing the kid. Usual shit. :banghead: :banghead:

Yeah agree with that. The write down on gate fees alone will probably cost the club at least £5m. Then you have some of the sponsorship deals we have to re-negotiate because of the lack of CL football. It's not melting point yet but for the first time in many years they will start to feel the pinch. They are probably still reviewing contract clauses and small prints. It's new territory for them and if Kroenke feels its time to take the business a different direction he'd cut the fraud loose. It certainly looks like Gazidis has had enough and he's already 1-0 up on the fraud after yesterday. The other problem is once you're out of the CL you need to spend millions of ££ to get back in. It's the most imbalanced squad I've ever seen under Wenger and needs major surgery. We haven't got £200m to piss down the drain like United and with the world cup coming up next year the fixture list could get messy with a Thursday/Sunday arrangement.

I think the current situation can only be explained by a boardroom split.

There's a good article in the Evening Standard, which throws heaps of shit Wenger's way, blaming him for most of the problems and even calling him delusional.
