THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fergies turn....I just wish the lot of them would FUCK OFF!@

I love the way he says Arsene remains unbowed. You betcha...9m for doing nothing....How come Fergie never got involved after LvG was hounded out after winning the FA cup or Mourinho was drummed out of Chelsea??? Because it's all alright apparently for them to dream of bigger things...but over at little Arsenal. ..........Be careful what you wish for peasants

Maybe earning millions and being lauded as heroes for decades has an effect on your grasp of reality. Ferguson wouldnt have put up with (or survived) the absolute shite Arsenal players have delivered in the Emirates era so how he thinks Wenger has done a great job is laughable. They're all self-serving hypocrites. Fergusons hypocrisy is legendary ... only bettered by Wenger himself.

Wenger is a complete coward too of course. He was very quick to deflect any blame for a poor season away from Kroenke ... but for someone who loves power, he isnt so keen to take responsibility. Instead he blames the fans. Defends the only one who has power over him, does the opposite to the thousands who do not. What a nasty, spineless fucker he is.

People talk about Arsenal fans being ungrateful and entitled. None of us combined have a sense of entitlement or lack of gratitude bigger than Wenger. Look at his career before joining Arsenal. He was a nobody! We made him someone, yet he acts like he made us something.

And then Wenger declines from doing the lap of whatever it is ... something he has always taken part in. If he is not willing or brave enough to get close to the masses anymore then how can he even think about signing a contract to manage their team? Well he can and probably will because he is a complete wanker.

You could see he relished the question as he offered a robust defence of wiggy in some sad attempt to get a stay of execution.

Looking at the way the contract situation has evolved and his comment after Everton that “his situation will be sorted out very soon” I have come to the conclusion that the fraud has staked his entire reputation on the new contract rather than walk away with dignity.

Gazidis stated categorically that there is no contract on the table and changes will be made with or without the manager. You don’t go around making these kind of statements if you haven’t been empowered to do so.

I agree there’s a split in the boardroom and some board members are opposed to him carrying on. I think the decision could go either way.

"It's been a rollercoaster of a season, difficult, in the sense that we didn't manage to achieve our objective," Giroud said.

There we go our objective is top 4, nothing more, pathetic.

Still I can rest easy now knowing Giroud is likely to stay, I was having sleepless nights about his future.

Straight from the "cart" horses mouth, so to speak. 8)

I've said it on here before but I'm amazed that anyone is surprised by this bullshit from managers, pundits, journos etc. Why would the likes of Ferguson or Gary Neville want Wenger to leave The Arsenal ?? They're Utd men through and through, so they must be delighted that a former rival club is hamstrung by a bonkers manager and is in inexorable decline. Same goes for the journos, who unless they're Gooners, won't want him to leave.

"We want you to stay", the chav and scum fans sing (and Palace fans  ), so why assume pundits, commentators and journos are any different ?

Wouldn't we have put a case forward for Juande Ramos, or Christian Gross staying ? Of course we would. The last thing anyone who isn't a Gooner wants right now, is Wenger to go.

Jesus how small time is that? Could understand it at Spurs but Chavs barely consider us a rival these days, i reckon if you asked most of their fans who they have more ill-feeling for it'll be Liverpool.

Bet they're gutted about Koscielny being out after he needlessly charged out of position for their first goal and got his pants pulled down by Hazard for their second a few weeks ago.

couldn't see an employee of arsenal making such an announcement on a day in which they win the league. I suppose we should take it as a compliment really
