Gazidis response to the letter sent from Jumpers just prior to Wengers reappointment.

Thank you for your thoughtful note to the board. We all share your ambition for Arsenal to be successful and to win trophies here and abroad.

This is what we are all working towards, but where we differ is that we are confident that our manager Arsene Wenger is the right person to help us fulfill our aims.We have reviewed what happened this season and identified areas both on and off the pitch which we will be working hard to implement during the summer.

Many thanks for your support and here's to a successful 2017/2018 season.

Signed Gazidis.

So there it is...back in you box you ungrateful peasants.

What a bunch of pricks!!

Two years of mediocrity a coming!...
Now for a long summer of nothing, intransigence will create an even bigger divide and as I said all along, Kroenke has no regard for our fans, he could not give a shit on how we feel just as long as the cash rolls in...
Something went wrong....

He has come out with this bollocks to try and spin it as not a disaster when Sanchez leaves. Like a lot of people I have fairly mixed views on Ozil, but let's face it he won't prosper under Wenger so if we got a good price to flog him abroad I could live with that.

But Sanchez? Overindulged? Good luck finding someone with half as much impact as he has had for the last three seasons. Anybody who Yonks losing Sanchez will b a good thing for the team should be sectioned.

I also saw John Hartson saying that there could be protests unless we make it name signings like Lukaku and van Dijk. Fucking managed to say it with a straight face too somehow.

No journalist or pundit has the appetite to get on the wrong side of Wenger or the club for the start two seasons. We will continue to have undeserved platitudes thrown about instead. Already I'm hearing "need to just get behind the team now" and that *word censored* Keown actually agreeing with Wenger's suggestion that the fans were to blame for our poor form. I have nearly as little respect for him as for Wenger. Scum.

Fuck it - I hope we lose our best players and find the new Xhaka, Perez and Mustafi to spend 100m on. I hope we continue to tumble down the table because one thing that's now clear is that things will have to get significantly worse on the pitch before they can get better.

Nope. It's an assumption to think tourists will automatically snap up tickets. They didn't seem too interested in the match against Sunderland, did they?
The Sunderland game was a one off,the empty seats were largely from people who just didn't turn up !
Its not an assumption that day trippers will come ,its backed up by annoying facts .
There is a 2000 allocation for overseas supporters clubs for every match and it gets filled every week many times there are limits on applications because they regularly get request for up to 5,000 seats from these clubs .
This I know because I founded the Singapore supporters Club
Secondly when I have been there this season the seats around me which are all season ticket holders ,have been occupied mostly by tourists using ticket exchange.
I realise you wouldn't be aware of this sitting on your lily pad .

The problem is that we won't tumble into mid-table. It's almost impossible.
This is Modern Football. We are in the set-up, but we are second tier.
We have the TV money, the sponsorship deals, the matchday revenue and the commercial income.
We pay high wages and can keep a second tier squad together without any problems.

We may tumble down for a month or two, but we have to consistently finish without European Football for it to have any effect.
We have to fail to qualify for Europe for at least 3 or 4 years in a row for it to hurt financially, so that means at least 5 more years of this mediocrity with Wenger.

The way our Club is set up is unique in world football now. We have Wenger at the top, then Kroenke, then no-one.

We are second tier, and are happy with that. It's still a lot better than all but 20 Clubs in the world.
We should be in that top tier, but Wenger is here for at least the next 5 years as manager, and then he will go to the Boardroom.
We are never getting rid of him, and we will never get to the Top Tier. That is the reality.

+1
I know the demand for tickets in Europe, have also seen it first-hand.
Plus cheap flights from anywhere in Europe to London, the hub of air transport.
Plus cheaper air flights from Bangkok, Singapore, even India and China now.
Come to London, see the sights, watch a football game, or two, or three!
This 'being in London' is just massive for the Club. We don't just have 1 local airport, we have 5.

The Club are very actively encouraging Fan Clubs around the World.
There is the pre-season trip to Australia, to develop there, then China to play Bayern and Chelsea, and get into the huge market there.
They also send out loads of Arsenal tat to them, to encourage them to support Brand Arsenal.
The FA Cup FInals have also got a whole new load of customers hooked.
They had Arsenal PLC parties in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, etc.
Arse.com with their "round the world" bit... http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... -the-world

We will never have a half-empty Stadium. Never.
The Premier League is too strong. TV and Advertising run the World.

Honest to fucking god, I really dont get the notion that some fans have, in wanting to keep Wenger but sell Sanchez and Ozil.

Who does Martin think we could replace Sanchez with? Because I for one think if Sanchez goes, that its highly likely Giroud will be our starting striker next season.

Some of our ex players are either thick as fuck, or are so invested in the idea only Wenger can manage Arsenal, that they will spew out such insane commentary to prop Wenger up
Was just about to post this (but thought I'd have the decency of looking back to see if it had already been done 8) ) -

Is Keown on fucking dog-food? I want Ozil to stay, but you can at least make a case for why we should let him go, cutting our losses and all that. But Sanchez? Wtf!? We'd have finished about 10th if it wasn't for him. Not to mention his cup final goal which saved Wenger's skin  :banghead:

I heard you were getting that done but I also heard that even after a bit of fluffing they could only fit "CA" on it.

I heard they got as far as 'CAT'

Which is the closest Rodders' pecker has got to a pussy in a long time! :D

As each day unfolds so things are becoming more desperate for the club as they try and 'spin' their way out of the mess that Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke have put the club in.

For a few brief moments (days) Gazidis gave the impression (All Falsehoods of course) that he was actually trying to get major changes at the club, including the departure of wenker. Maybe he was, but my gut instinct tells me that he was just playing along and in the end we discover that the club (Wenker, Gazidis and kroenke) have totally mugged us off, we have been royally shafted up the kyber pass with no lube. Things will not change - and once more we find ourselves the by-standers of something we are powerless to change(*).

The club have now employed the likes of Keown, Lauren and even Wrighty to put out all these softening comments before they shaft us once again with the departure/s of Alexis and Ozil (Personally I couldn't give a shyte if Ozil goes - a highly skilled but ultimately flawed, lazy individual).

Any changes that do happen will be so minimal that the same old circus will continue. It has gotten to the stage where I am beginning to feel physically sick when I hear wenger speaking, knowing that he has told Lie upon lie, upon lie in order to deceive.

It is like having a life long friend suddenly reveal that they have been stealing from you all those years you trusted them. Yes, like the majority on here I have been aware of dishonesty for some 9 years now, but I just kept hoping against all the odds that he might do the right thing and step down.

When things go tits up, and they Will, Wenger, Kroenke and Gazidis, along with all the excuse makers that have lied for the club; Keown, Wrighty, Pires, Henry, Lauren etc etc will ALL be Culpable.

Many of us use the term 'hate' sometimes in anger or as a throwaway term, I don't want to 'Hate' anyone, but having been a Gooner for 47yrs now and witnessed what the have jointly done to something that has been one of the great love's in my life and to what was once a Great Club is unforgiveable.

May All They Have Conspired to Do Come Back On Them Ten-fold.

(*) The only way the fans can re-claim their power to change the club is by there being a major shift so that the Majority actually voice their feelings and vote with their wallets and feet, and as NickF & Armchair have constantly said , that is not going to happen.

Wenger has completely fucked Gazidis over and Gazidis knows it . Just look at the bullshit videos yesterday ,pure face saving from him prattling on about working closely with him for 8 years .
That Wenger even agreed to do the vids with him tells me that he is doing it to humour Stan who might well have asked him to show some love for little Ivan because he's sick of him bitching in his ear .
My sources in the club aren't what they were but from what I did know is that they barely spoke at all since the Nasri/Fabregas days !
Stan has probably also told Gazidis to leave the football to the expert WENGER !
Stan aint no fool ,he's seen the money our rivals spend every time they change manager and he knows Wenger will keep spending in check.
With strong and stable leadership he is confident that Wenger is still the right man to deliver profits and safeguard the asset value of his shares !
Cigars and treble gins all round !

Very true. Keeping the bank manager was a purely business decision. Stan and Wenga run this club, the rest are just a nuisance and they would be best advised to fall in line. Gazidis will be off in a couple of months.

Honestly. :banghead:
A series of generic statements all done behind closed doors and away from the glaring eyes of the media. It says 'Arsene message to the fan' but was it really? John Cross must be distraught he wasn't invited.

But seriously this is how a classy club behaves. Gazidis talking about how they knew the message leaked 24hrs before and wanted to do things properly. Who leaked it? All season there was no leaks but suddenly we get a flurry of stories he's agreed to sign in advance of any official announcement. There was none of the obligatory photo call with Wenger putting pen to paper and I'm starting to believe those who speculated a while back that the contract was signed a long time ago.

What all of this proves is that Wenger is not going anywhere anytime soon. The wig wearing cunnt will turn up in his pin stripped suit every other couple of years and hand him a brand new contract.
