THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thank jeebus he's planning on saving a few quid.....if only we could clone the unfulfilled potential of Rob Holding and have a team of unfulfilled potential.

He always says a maximum of three, possibly two signings

Says it will unbalance the team if any more than that....not sure where he gets that idea from...then again i honestly think he is mad

In fairness if it was only 3 of super super qualitee...with no one leaving and sanchez made content.....it might be tolerable. But we all know it means people leaving and 2 of the 3 will be french kids that he takes a punt on.

Meanwhile.....from Iwobi...another self serving project youth from Wenger....(dont sign anyone as it may "kill" Iwobi or Giroud)

This attitude from Wenger must surely see him suffer next season, and he won't know what the fuck to do to resolve it... :D

But Iwobi said: “I’m backing Arsene Wenger to win the league title at Arsenal again. There won’t be a single player in our dressing room next season who will not fight for him.

“We’d run through brick walls for the boss. I’m pleased because he really is Mr Arsenal, isn’t he? He has made it the great institution it is today.

The reaction to this from so called fans, has been embarrassing. Wengerites who cant accept any criticism of their leader, have resorted to attacking TA personal life, and belittling his achievements . These same people treat Koscielny as though he is the greatest CB we have ever had. What has our club become.

Wenger...
Unfortunately no-one speaks about the performance of Rob Holding,’ he complained. ‘You should be happy, he is English and 20 years old. I am sorry he didn’t cost £55m, so he can’t be good.’

thats why he spent weeks arguing over half a million extra....what about all the fucking deadbeats he signed including guys with a broken back
has to get one right...and keeps letting us all know...despicable wanker

Haha I wont repeat myself from another thread but yes he signs so many up and comers (sounds like a dodgy porn movie? 8) ) that he is bound to get a few right and when he does, boy do we hear about it, it's a bit like nostradamus, he predicts the future except not really because for every loosely fitting 'hit' he got he got a whole load completely wrong which people just ignore!!.

Yeah and these are the same people who use the old but what about the 'abuse' he gets when they run out of serious ways to defend Wenger, but they are quite prepared to abuse someone else to defend him, talk about double standards..

Come to think of it did not see much evidence of running through brick walls or indeed even giving a shit at City and Everton...still suppose its easier to say than actually do

He's got a £20 book to sell. Still a legend who should be at the club in one form or another.

Only 2-3 signings whilst not making it clear whether those are additions or replacements.

Whilst Giroud is ready to stay and for for his place and the title. Which means, Giroud knows Sanchez is off and the Mbappe bid is not serious, which means he will resume his place as starting striker by default.

Now we just need Walcott to 'send a warning', and were all set.

Liverpool supporters still waiting for the open top bus celebration showing off the trophy they believe they should have for finishing forth. Wenger has fooled a lot of people in believing 4th is a trophy.

Apparently Wenger has told Arsenal he will walk away from the club next summer if another title bid falls flat.

Standards are so low at Arsenal now this just sounds like wishful thinking to me. If they haven't got rid of him by now for failing to mount a title challenge, I can't really see it happening after next season.
