So glad he came though ,loved him ,miss him, want him back !
Dennis wasn't a truly international star in those days despite his world cup 94 goal ,he had gone from Ajax to Inter where he played with a bunch of other so called stars but struggled to make any impression in a team that wouldn't pass to him half the time !

now we are arguably only 3rd best in London!! and the decline hasn't stopped yet....

So if everything is based on qualifying for the CL every season, what will "The Walking Fucking Braindead" make of 3 seasons of non qualification...Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 2:14 pmexactly - we were really one of the "big three" (Liverpool and United being the other 2)markyp wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 1:51 pmtruth is we were always a big club despite what wenger and his brain dead disciples think, its the CL that has slightly twisted peoples perception of certain clubs based on the fact that clubs like us werent playing in the CL or European cup every season purely because pre 98 it was champions only, pre CL if you talked about 'big' clubs it was Real Madrid,Barcelona and I hate to sat it Man utd, after that everybody else was in the same boat pretty much, now anybody playing regulary in the CL is a big club but we were big waaaaay before thatGunner Rob wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 1:42 pmisn't it amazing to think that back in 1995 when Arsenal "apparently" had far less global appeal and standing in the game and had just finished 12th in the Premier League that a new Arsenal manager was able to buy Dennis Bergkamp - one of the truly world class players of his generation.

By then of course them up the road will be qualifying every year, and you know why?
Because they have done it the right way.

The catalyst for change is here!
Seriously though this is probably why we've only signed one free transfer, which was almost certainly agreed months ago, we are spending the first half of the summer (min) making appointments that should have been made years ago, but because Wenger is a stubborn, arrogant c**t and Kroenke thinks the sun shines out of Wenger's backside we are years behind already and now playing catch up, well done everyone, Arsene FC - the best run [*]football club in the world.

Not even bothering to get interested in any way shape or form. Why? Because Wenger is still in charge and so NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Here's a question. Griesman wanted to leave A Madrid but they were banned from signing players for 6 months. Instead of turning his back on them he signed a new contract which would guarantee a good transfer fee if they agreed to sell him next season. Now that is called loyalty.
What is so wrong at Arsenal that our best players want to leave and are willing to run down their contracts so the club and more importantly the fans lose their players and lose the money to reinvest. Something is very wrong at Arsenal and I can tell you it's not the fans.

If he was loyal, he wouldn't want to leave them in the first place.
Loyalty is a ridiculous concept in football anyway. If the player stays for the full length of his contract, he has been loyal, yet the club would see no transfer fee for him.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Arsene has some Power but it's clear that if it comes to a contract last year rundown or cash in the bank then we will bank that cash every time no matter who we sell to regardless of Wengers wishes !
One of the reasons he fell out with Gazidis in the first place is because he sold fabregas and nasri in the same window after Wenger insisting on keeping them both including Nasri in his last year

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
No, but Arsene FC fucked up again in his transfer negotiation....

Midfielder Jean Michael Seri has reportedly agreed terms with AS Roma to join them on a five-year deal from Ligue 1 side Nice.
French radio station RMC reports that the Ivorian international has agreed to a provisional contract with the Italian side after his representatives spent the weekend in Rome.
Roma have previously had offers of €15 million and €25 million rejected by Les Aiglons, who are demanding €40 million for the player. But a third bid of €35 million is expected to get the deal done and see Arsenal miss out on one of their transfer targets.
The news of the 25-year-old's proposed move to Italy will not only come as a blow to Arsene Wenger's men only but also to Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain who were also reportedly eyeing the former Pacos de Ferreira man.
It is believed that Seri will be Mohamed Salah's replacement at the Serie A runners-up which should leave the Egyptian clear to conclude his move to Liverpool.
