As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
When Kyle Walker is going for 50m and Lukaku for 75-90m, makes you think what a player like Sanchez is worth. Far more than what we will get for him, that's for sure.
Just like we undersold Fabregas massively at 30m.
He has 1 year left on his contract so no club will pay more than £60M I reckon and Bayern won't pay more than about £40M max, it looks like City or no one so I say hold on to him for that last year, my evil twin kinda wants us to sell him to City though just to add fuel to the anti-Kroenke/Wenger feeling, also it will probably f*ck up Chelsea and Spurs chances at the title next season as City will be too strong.
Yes I'd take a year of pain and finishing mid table if it meant at the end of it - Wenger getting sacked and Kroenke selling up while City walked the league, of course it won't happen though, we'll lose Sanchez and the two old c**ts will still be festering like a pair of rancid old cheesy socks that a tramp has used to wipe their arse with.
Oh, he's going to City. They're the only ones in properly for him and we can't allow him to walk away for free at the end of his deal. Our whole club is fucking money mad.
We'll get one of their unwated players in return who'll be paid a fortune and then be injured or shit for five years. It will then be spun as a masterstroke from Wanker who has got rid of a disruptive player and replaced him with a 'genuine winner' who will be anything but. Think Cole and Gallas in 2006.
The other scenario which is just as likely is that he ends up at the Chavs for £90m on August 31st as they've managed to fuck up their transfer targets so far and will need a big name to blow money on before the end of the summer. We again, love money and they love spending it. We might accept £60m and they chuck in some average nobody or a has-been like Fabregas who'll be trunpted as a wonder signing and the home-coming of a hero.
Whatever happens, Sanchez is off.
The odds on Lemar joining Arsenal are shorter than Sanchez joining City, If we get Lemar over the line it would be interesting to see if Sanchez makes what would not be an unrational decision to stay another year and see what happens. I guess it's a question of whether he thinks we are good enough to compete for the league next season. Lemar plus a CB would really strengthen our squad. I quite like the look of the southampton defender van dijk who would be perfect at dealing with set pieces so we don't get arse raped at places like the Hawthorns. Alas it appears he is going to Pool.
I still expect Sanchez to go to City, but we don't need the money now. We are anything but a poor club. It's mind boggling how many fans we have overseas. We finally seem to have tapped into that market.

Apart from on the pitch
I see what you did there...
One day I will give the reasons for that
Facteur Arsene. Or should that be, Arsene le Facteur ?
This transfer window will be much like the previous ones - sign your main target at the start of it, then fuck arse around trying to nickle and dime for any other targets
As predicted we will actually be even further behind as a team once this window closes. The Ox, the Lamppost and Alexis will all be gone with Lacazette, the new left back, and possibly Lemar coming in. Fail to see how that strengthens a squad that finished a distant 5th last year.
Sadly there are little if any rumours about a new keeper, centre half or midfielder and without all three we will be finishing 7th. Everton and United will improve and finish above a bunch of lame ducks who were bailed out every other week by Alexis last season, and who will still have the Chavski Plank between the sticks and the two plodding donkeys Xhaka and Ramsey giving the ball away on the edge of the area week in week out. The Ox who finally looked like he was clicking in the new wing back role will piss off and see Bellerin unchallenged in that role for the whole season
7th here we come. Anyone who thinks this bloke can't gradually edge us down into mid-table over the next few years is deluded. It will only take Southampton, West Ham and one or two others to get the sort of funds coming in from owners like Everton have and get a half decent manager and we'll be back where we were when Graham left......20 years out of date, watching shit midtable football. 12 years ago it was unthinkable we'd be outside the top 2, then for years afterwards outside the top 4........I'm calling it we'll be outside the top six this season. Where does it end with TO1AW and the wig wearing c.unt in charge?
I'm not ready for football at all - keep the tennis, horse racing and cricket coming until Shit for Brains finally fucks off
It is incredible he seems to be ignoring any replacements at the back, also with Santi out need another midfielder
Goalkeeping position needs sorting, but Mr 30 Years is going for glory with new strikers
would like to see Lemar arrive but not at the expense of Sanchez leaving

Particularly if we continue with 5 at the back. Baffling

It isn't incredible, it is expected. This is Wenger we're talking about.

yeah, forgot that for a second.....the same bloke who had all last summer to prepare for the first game, and came out and said we was not ready

You are forgetting the week before the season started we beat man city in some pre season tournament ,and he came out and said we were ready for the new season ,and then after losing to the Victims, said we weren't ready.
All I can say is well done to his team mates, it is their fault he wants to go (along with AW obviously), they all wanted Wenger to stay because their future would be uncertain under a more ruthless (better) manager.
Europa league is about their level and Wenger's.
Iwobi, Ramsey, Lacazette, Giroud - yes we look very much like a Europa league team with Wenger's band of "his boys".
