So Mr 30 years is officially on record now saying Sanchez won't be sold.

I think, and I stand to be corrected here, but I think that what he actually said is that "sanchez is not for sale" - there is a huge difference in the meaning of those two sentences
'The decision has been made and we will stick to that, the decision is not to sell'

Nice post from Chesney, another one mis-managed by that deluded incompetent fuckwit Mr30 years....

I remember being a young boy in Poland, watching David Seaman, Thierry Henry, Dennis Berkamp and others play for Arsenal. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get a chance to play for the club I supported as a little kid. When I was approached by Arsenal in 2005 my world changed forever. I began my journey as a 16 year old boy at the Arsenal's academy, trying to one day become a first team player, going out for evening runs in East Barnet with Jack Wilshere. Little did we know then, that couple years later we'd beat Barcelona in the Champions League and wear the no.1 and no.10 shirts. It has been over 11 years since I became an Arsenal player and I never thought the day I leave this club would come. Everything that I am and everything that I have, I owe to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, Liam Brady, David Court, Bob Arber, Steve Bould, Neil Banfield, Mike Salmon, Tony Roberts, Gerry Peyton, Pat Rice and many others. Words can't describe my gratitude to these people and love for this club. Today I move on, ready for the new challenge in my life, taking with me only the good memories and bag of expierience. I leave hopeful that those days of Berkamp,Henry, Seaman and others are soon to return to Emirates Stadium and Arsenal get back to winning the Premier League. I may not be an Arsenal player no more but I will carry the Arsenal name with me wherever I go and I will do so with great pride. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner! ❤

Apparently we accepted a 10m offer for Elneny from the Foxes, but he rejected.

17.57 BST: Arsenal have accepted a £10m bid from Leicester City for midfielder Mohamed Elneny, reports the Sun, but the Egypt international has rejected his chance to join the Foxes as he's settled into life in London -- despite finding first-team opportunities limited with the Gunners.

We should be focused on selling Walnut, Gibbs, Wilshire, and Giroud. And in today's market, 10m for Elneny seems cheap. I don't rate him highly but he's at least okay.

We've got so many crap/average/injury prone players on high wages we're having a hard job getting rid, Wenger's genius at work there.

I see a familiar pattern emerging though just on a grander scale - we've signed Lacazette for £45M (+ addons) and Kolasinac for £Zero. Big deal?, Chelsea are getting Morata for £70M ish, have already signed Bakoyoko for £40M and Rudiger for £30M so basically £100M more than us already, City I cba to add up but likely more still, United already have spent over £100M.

So it looks like the same old "self sustaining" model is well fixed in place - we spend what the club earns from bleeding the fans dry plus our mediocre commercial revenue - largely mediocre because our board have zero ambition (on field) and don't want to risk putting any money in.

Don't worry though we are "trying hard" for Lemar.

Catalyst for change lol.

Still a lot of zombie fans (AKB's) are happy because we spend £45M on Lacazette, in real terms if this was 2014 or before that would be more like £15M you idiots!. Never fear though Totnum are skint, though with a better manager they'll still probably pip us to 4th place next season!.

Mismanaged? Was it Wenger that stuffed a fag in his mouth after that Southampton game. You can have a pop at Wenger for a lot of things, but Chesney after showing much promise got way too arrogant at a young age. His attitude in general was suspect and it was for that reason he was shipped out on loan when we signed Cech. Sadly for someone who had a lot of talent and natural ability he made a lot of basic mistakes, again not sure Wenger can be blamed for that.

There's a lot of spin in football these days. If Chesney genuinely feels this way about Arsenal then more fool him for not knuckling down, when he had a long career ahead of him at our club with no competition.

Yep. It's the coaching and he's yet another player who has failed to make any progress under Wanker.

And that's been the problem for 10 years or more. How on fucking earth is some of the shit we have still on the books? It's another summer of fucking average players and players that are cheaper than our 'rivals'. You're bang on about 45m being the old 15m from a couple of years back. That's the Wanker price bracket, just with a bit of inflation.
The first thing that should have happened was the shit, injury prone players should have had their contracts paid up on 1st July and told to find other clubs. Then, our supposed targets should have been dealt with. However, now that Wanker can sit their smug and self-satisified for another two years, what needs to be done won't be done. Anyone expecting anything else other than the usual mess of a transfer window is fucking deluded.

Whilst I'm in full agreement that Wenger's "coaching" has let many players down, for me there is also the issue of Chesney's attitude letting him and the club down. How many times did we see that cocky stupid grin in the tunnel and you just knew he was gonna have a mare? Of course better man management from Wenger might (only might) have helped him with that but some players are too stupid to help.

He also wasn't a great keeper, he had a bit of raw talent but there were and are too many basic but vital things wrong in his game. For me he is a reasonably good GK who could be a disaster at times and not much more.

Anyway, if it his genuine feelings then fair play for posting a nice respectful grateful message to the people that tried to help him.

Cast your mind back and compare the performances of Szczesny and de Gea in 2011-12 - frightening how much better Szczesny was at that time. How times change - the archetypal 'made it at 21' footballer and his career has nose-dived accordingly.

Think Morata is a great signing for Chelsea and they must be laughing at 15m cheaper than Lukaku.

Agreed going to be difficult to ship out the deadwood on their colossal wages

Elneny is very average, not good enough

Think Sanchez will eventually leave this pre season..

I wholeheartedly agree with you, can I just add that he has vastly improved in Italy then when he arrived from Arsenal, mind you in Italy they do not suffer arseholes, not that he was one!.... 8)
