In fairness though Italian football is far more defensive than the PL so he would get a lot more protection at Juve than he did at Arsenal.Allgunsblazin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:11 amI wholeheartedly agree with you, can I just add that he has vastly improved in Italy then when he arrived from Arsenal, mind you in Italy they do not suffer arseholes, not that he was one!....DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:28 amWhilst I'm in full agreement that Wenger's "coaching" has let many players down, for me there is also the issue of Chesney's attitude letting him and the club down. Yep. It's the coaching and he's yet another player who has failed to make any progress under Wanker.
He also wasn't a great keeper, he had a bit of raw talent but there were and are too many basic but vital things wrong in his game. For me he is a reasonably good GK who could be a disaster at times and not much more.
Anyway, if it his genuine feelings then fair play for posting a nice respectful grateful message to the people that tried to help him.![]()

I remember being a young boy in Poland, watching David Seaman, Thierry Henry, Dennis Berkamp and others play for Arsenal. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get a chance to play for the club I supported as a little kid. When I was approached by Arsenal in 2005 my world changed forever. I began my journey as a 16 year old boy at the Arsenal's academy, trying to one day become a first team player, going out for evening runs in East Barnet with Jack Wilshere. Little did we know then, that couple years later we'd beat Barcelona in the Champions League and wear the no.1 and no.10 shirts. It has been over 11 years since I became an Arsenal player and I never thought the day I leave this club would come. Everything that I am and everything that I have, I owe to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, Liam Brady, David Court, Bob Arber, Steve Bould, Neil Banfield, Mike Salmon, Tony Roberts, Gerry Peyton, Pat Rice and many others. Words can't describe my gratitude to these people and love for this club. Today I move on, ready for the new challenge in my life, taking with me only the good memories and bag of expierience. I leave hopeful that those days of Berkamp,Henry, Seaman and others are soon to return to Emirates Stadium and Arsenal get back to winning the Premier League. I may not be an Arsenal player no more but I will carry the Arsenal name with me wherever I go and I will do so with great pride. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner! ❤
There's a lot of spin in football these days. If Chesney genuinely feels this way about Arsenal then more fool him for not knuckling down, when he had a long career ahead of him at our club with no competition.

I just think the Italian game makes keepers look better than they are apart from Buffon who is quality. Our zonal marking would make most keepers look bad to be honest though.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:19 amOk ...not referring to individual incidents taking them out of context, and not here to defend his actions, as everyone knows was out of line agreed, but had talent and think he could have made it...wastenut flush gooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 5:58 amMismanaged? Yeah I didn't hear that United, Chelsea, City or any of the major Euro clubs were interested in him, wonder why?.

Lets give him the benefit of the doubt though I suppose, it isn't his fault Wenger's judgement these days is more like the roll of a dice on French players and the best one's don't buy into Wenger's 'genius' anymore.
Back to the injury prone or average players, how many have actually gone yet?, Szczesny has but he was a lesser issue anyway than the like of Debuchy, Gibbs, Wilshere etc, I keep hearing WBA won't pay £12M of whatever for Gibbs but really?, are we really playing hardball over players who are pretty much 100% useless to the squad and draining both squad places and £?, more likely it's because the player is refusing to settle for less money than Wenger pays them and WBA etc. know Gibbs is a £20-30K a week player but is on £50-60K at Arsenal!.
Just pay up their contracts, or make a settlement with them, to allow them to f*ck off because they are just hanging around like a bad smell, then again so is someone else!.

He was going to Athletico Madrid remember and they tend to sign good forwards apart from Torres. Let's give him some time before we judge around 10 games.sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:25 amYeah I didn't hear that United, Chelsea, City or any of the major Euro clubs were interested in him, wonder why?.

I think both the player and the manager should shoulder some of the blame. Ronaldo was a pretty cocky kid when he went to United, more interested in doing 15 step overs every time he got the ball rather than scoring and creating chances. Ferguscum soon sorted that out and is one of the main reasons he is the player he is today. Wenger's laissez faire attitude means our youngsters don't get the kick up the backside they need at the right times. But as a player you also have to have the desire for consistent improvement yourself and that's where he let himself down.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:19 amOk ...not referring to individual incidents taking them out of context, and not here to defend his actions, as everyone knows was out of line agreed, but had talent and think he could have made it...wastenut flush gooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 5:58 amMismanaged? I don't think you can deny though that it's a recurring theme that we have had a lot of talented youngsters break into the first team squad over the last decade and not go on to fulfill their potential and I think you have to lay that at the managers and coaching staffs door for not managing the discipline/development side well enough. I don't think anyone since Fabregas has broken through and gone on to a level anywhere near world class.

Surely we have to give Lacazette a season, or maybe even two seasons, before we judge him? Not all players can adapt quickly to the PL and to our shit coaching and shit formation - I'm assuming the "great experiment" won't survive our first mauling and Wenger will revert to good old 4-5-1...

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Also, I think we have a problem at grass roots level in the club whereby the talent scouts are not spotting and signing the right kids. No matter who coach's them, some kids are just not going to make it and we seem to get a lot of them through our academy. A top scout will spot the best kids and even if they are flawed a good coach will then craft a top player out of them. We are basically expecting poor coaches to create great players from poor to average kids... of course we all know who appoints the scouts and the coaches... every ill at Arsenal can be traced back to Wenger at some level...Skooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:36 amI think both the player and the manager should shoulder some of the blame. agreed of course some blame to the player but was just a kid earning big money....most players need man management arm round the shoulder or kick up the Arse....because Wenger literally does everything at the club from team lady up he has no time to do these duties....hence Gazidis with DOF and support...but he will not give up the complete controlSkooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:36 amI think both the player and the manager should shoulder some of the blame. Ah yes, good old Boro, Wenger's bussom buddy and Numero Uno Yes Man. From the arsehole he has in his face rather than a mouth;postmanPat91 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 12:15 pmWhen we have c_nts like Boro Primorac saying 'It is not all about results', that tells us all we need to know about the mentality of everyone at the club from board, to coaches, to the fucking kit manRedarmy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 12:05 pmagreed of course some blame to the player but was just a kid earning big money....most players need man management arm round the shoulder or kick up the Arse....because Wenger literally does everything at the club from team lady up he has no time to do these duties....hence Gazidis with DOF and support...but he will not give up the complete controlSkooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:36 amI think both the player and the manager should shoulder some of the blame. But as a player you also have to have the desire for consistent improvement yourself and that's where he let himself down.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:19 amOk ...not referring to individual incidents taking them out of context, and not here to defend his actions, as everyone knows was out of line agreed, but had talent and think he could have made it...wastenut flush gooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 5:58 am
Mismanaged? Was it Wenger that stuffed a fag in his mouth after that Southampton game. You can have a pop at Wenger for a lot of things, but Chesney after showing much promise got way too arrogant at a young age. His attitude in general was suspect and it was for that reason he was shipped out on loan when we signed Cech. Sadly for someone who had a lot of talent and natural ability he made a lot of basic mistakes, again not sure Wenger can be blamed for that.
There's a lot of spin in football these days. If Chesney genuinely feels this way about Arsenal then more fool him for not knuckling down, when he had a long career ahead of him at our club with no competition.
I don't think you can deny though that it's a recurring theme that we have had a lot of talented youngsters break into the first team squad over the last decade and not go on to fulfill their potential and I think you have to lay that at the managers and coaching staffs door for not managing the discipline/development side well enough. I don't think anyone since Fabregas has broken through and gone on to a level anywhere near world class.![]()
"Arsenal’s strength in the past 20 years has been Wenger. It is not all about results, but also business part of the club that matters."
Earning a living in the Game and thinks "It is not all about results".

"Results" my dear fucktard ARE ALL IT IS ABOUT!!
