Riddles and Brainteasers

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Riddles and Brainteasers

Post by Block93 »

Nothing more fun than trying to solve a good brainteaser when you are with your mates in the pub, so thought it worth starting a thread so that you can contribute your best ones. Might be a crap idea, but here goes....

So here's a very good one to start....I will confirm if/when someone gets it right. (No googling the answer, otherwise this thread is an even bigger waste of time than it may already be..)

We all know that the HIGHEST break in snooker is 155 (ie 147, plus a free ball and the black....)

So, what is the LOWEST score you can make with a complete clearance?

lowest score is 42 if you pot every ball and don't foul.

lowest total break is 72, also assuming you don't foul on the black

tedious thread but I'm bored at work..........

an explorer leaves his camp, travels 1 mile due south followed by one mile due west and a mile due north. On his arrival at his destination he sees his own tent with a bear next to it. He shoots the bear.

What colour is the bear? (before it was shot dipshits, otherwise we all know it would be red!!)

Oh come on! Trevor Brooking. Winning FA cup final goal scorer. One of the worst days of my football supporting life.

Although now I think about it the way you have phrased your question makes me wrong; Brooking came between 79 and 81 so you must mean the 83 final. Choose between Robson, Muhren or Whiteside.
Yes EastEnders is on so I have nothing else to think about!

No, I did cock the question up, which I put it down to total ineptitude on my part.

I asked a mate about the rules.

Pot all the reds with a single shot, take the yellow and then the colours, but foul the black = 37 (which is still higher than my highest break).
