he's still not formally submitted a transfer request. this gives me the impression he is going to see out his contract then leave on a free next season, which we absolutely cannot do.

we have to sell, and by that of course keep telling clubs he is not for sale to get the best possible price. hopefully psg or citeh get really desperate and by the end of the window they're bidding obscene amounts.

Absolute pennies in today's market, just look at what the other clubs are spending. As usual rather than trying to buy players we are investing all of our time and effort into trying to figure out how to get rid of them.

I don't understand the fuss over the number 9 shirt...it's frigging cursed. Perez should be relieved that it's no longer his he might get a decent run out. I wonder if he does go if he gets to wear the number 9 shirt at his next club?

We have had protracted transfer saga's for years, remember Vieira and Henry every summer?

As for showing ambition, I would say adding Lemar to the squad plus a good Centre Back is probably our best summer in the transfer market for over a decade.

Going back to the player, it would be nice to have someone who identifies with what being an Arsenal player means. In the current first team, there are very few.
