THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I know it is really only said in jest but these comparisons between Hitler and Wenger do not sit well with me at all.

Come on guys. We are talking about pure evil here.

Whatever Hitler did or didn’t do in his time … does he really deserve to be compared with someone like that? 8)
  :barscarf:

Superb Clash. 8)
I don't accept this crap about Wenger being this harmless old doddering pensioner. I think he really is a nasty piece of work and if the journo's did their job properly we would see real evidence of that. Look at Jaqui Oatley...and how long ago was that. Look at his body language when asked a question he doesn't like...how he visibly bristles, his whole demeanour changes....He really does see himself superior to everyone and those pressers are fine as long as everyone knows their place. I wish they would give him 10 minutes of relentless awkwardness, then the real Arsene Wenger would emerge. And the journo or journo's would NEVER be allowed back. Wengers pressers are no different from a presser called by a dictator...ask the wrong question and you are out. How in hell is this allowed to go on....the press should be ashamed of themselves with their blokey, matey behaviour at these "mid morning breakfasts"

I'm not comparing him to Hitler nor Mugabe but I don't believe Wenger is this lovable, avuncular old rogue either. He is not a nice man and if the press did their job properly, a lot more people would see it.
No too sure why you are quoting me there... I'm just congratulating Clash on a very witty post...

Anyballs.... the bit in red? You have answered your own question - because Arsene lays on a very nice spread at those pressers and very few fat lazy bastard "journalists" (or football reporters to call them what they really are) can turn down a free feed.
Just tossed the whole lot in DB. Tbh, you guys and your constant Wenger bashing are getting on my tits.... give the man a chance

Seriously on the last protest march at the Emirates a bloke of about 70 screamed that in my face as we walked past.

Maybe he's taken these first 20 years "to find his feet"??
Hmmm that bloke will probably be dead before Wenger leaves our club so how many chances are we supposed to give him?

He's had 20 chances at the CL and as of now 13 at the EPL since he last won it, and lets not even mention the League Cup

In bullish mood....reminding The Ox of his responsibilities to the club....AFC has invested time & money into him .....one of our Big players....wants to build our future around him...will become one of the Big players in this country..... :blah: :blah: :blah:

WHEN??? When is this all going to happen??? If he stays at us he will NEVER progress beyond where he is now. Leave son, for your own good, you owe ToF NOTHING.

Wenger sitting there unleashing veiled threats...I despise the man.

He must be terrified Ox goes to one of the big clubs and becomes the player he should have become at us. Of course if he does Wenger will still claim credit for him, having prepared him for the big stage. Almost a decade of preparation.

Leave son...RUN.....

If you were ox surely you would want to go to Chelsea wouldnt you ?

One of Ox , Alexis will be gone next week and i can't believe that no one is held accountable for the contracts running down. Stan should be furious if these 3 walk away for nothing.

and people still believe this sh*t??
He hasn't built a team around Ozil and Alexis so why would he build one around the Ox?

The only way the Ox will become "one of the big players in this country" is if he goes on the same diet as John Barnes.

It's fickle fans like you I hate the most. Take away one of those "1" digits from that "11" and you get what? You get "1". Number 1. First. 8)
