They spelt it wrong on the other wide of the bridge so glad they got it right this time.

@ Augie - Yes the yank does fire coaches. I posted the link to the story last season but some people didn't want to listen. Hoping eh.

Anyway here's a link to the transcript of Gazidis fan meeting in June. There are some gems in there.

So many people has nailed it re Wenger during these last three to four years but here is one of them putting it straight and right once again. This is one of my favorite vloggers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Divdh39 ... e=youtu.be
Lee is a good lad but unfortunately he's falling into the same trap as these bloggers spouting the usual clichés and having a rant after every loss- the money the club makes, ticket prices, tourists, players etc etc. He went all positive before the cup final.

Focus on the real issues why we lost and call Wenger out for his bullshit. Don't address all and sundry. It dilutes the message.
True that and I guess that is common problem with most of the vbloggers out there. But this guy gets the core arguments out clearly with passion without blabbering nonsense most of the time.

The press finally getting the message...and this early in the season as well :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

How about this damning statistic??
In their last 25 away games against Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, Arsenal have won 0, drawn 7 and lost 18. Seven points out of a possible 75.

When seen like that, that statistic is horrendous and just shows exactly why year after year we fail to sustain a challenge beyond Feb, you cannot lose so many points to your rivals and still call them rivals in all honesty.

This article from the ES actually makes some excellent points about him and his position, but grin and bare it a little as it points out flaws amongst the fanbase too.

The article is spot on. Our opinions didn't matter then and are not going to matter now. Things never get bad enough for Wonga's position to become untenable like Mourinho at Chelsea . This squad is not going to lose 6games on the bounce but you never know they might surprise us. Wonga tempted fate by signing the new contract and I think fate is going to deal him a heavy hand.

Doesn't the 2019 season mark a hundred years in the top flight - 93 seasons i think ? Which, unless i'm wrong, will be the longest run in the highest league.

Anyone think the old fraud can fuck that up?

Nah, surely not. It would sit top of his embarrassing and shameful collection of shite records he has managed to secure over the last 10-12 years though.
He'd still have those thick ceunt AKB's claiming it as some kind of achievement mind.

We have plumbed the depths in recent years, but I think we are a new low.

How can Ox's contract not have been sorted a year ago, either way?

How can the sale of Sanchez be left so late when everyone knows he is going? No business would ever chuck away £70m odd, which is what we would lose in June next year. He's going.

Wenger has lost it, but we have known that for some years. You can't blame him for clinging to the wreckage, it is human nature.

The fault lies not with Wenger but the Board. Gazidis cannot be completely stupid - he runs a billion pound business. I think Kroenke has told him that Wenger is going nowhere and if Gazidis doesn't like it and put on a happy face about it all then he can FO. Therefore, I can only believe there is a plan is place in terms of agreed deals prior to the deadline. We would not sell Ox and Sanchez unless there were replacements. It just could not happen.

The Wenger situation is more complex. Kroenke effectively owns the club, and he can appoint whoever he wants to do whatever he wants. He doesn't live in this country and so probably doesn't give a FF about it all.

The next two days are pivotal. If the right players come in, whoever is managing the team is less important. Wenger should have gone long ago, we all know that, but as long as Kroenke wants him there, he will probably stay.

My philosophy in life is you address the reality, and not focus on trying to change things that are very much outside our control . Maybe Wenger will fall on his sword, but that's probably the only way it's going to happen. He certainly knows what people think.

And, if it is going to happen, then this maybe is the time it's going to.

Presumably Wenger would get a big payoff if he was sacked ?
I wonder if this is why he signed the new contract. Get the money, sell off all the best players and then leave the club in crisis for whoever takes over - and therefore in time improving his own legacy

I would take that scenario if it means the coont is out of the door. I would pay him £100m to fuck off back to France.

Limpdick media once again not asking him the difficult questions. "We were not at the requested level". WTF does this even mean? He speaks as if he entered into some sort of transaction with the players. Wenger is paralysing this club with a very bad disease and it's going to take us an eternity to find a cure when he eventually fucks off. Remember we lost 3 of the first 4 games in 2011, so we've seen worse which just tells you how bad this club's level has dropped. We are on course for another low to mid 70s points finish making it a decade since we last reached 80 points.

This sounds crazy but I'm beginning to believe it. Like in a real dictatorship he is ready to take everything down with him. I think he would genuinely do that. It is apparent that he is desperately clinging on to his position like there's no tomorrow. Somebody needs to step up and give him the coup de grâce but there aren't really anyone to do that. I can't see him leaving on his own.
