Sanchez has left Arsenal, when did that happen???

Nope, Barca have put in a bid for him...you think we're going to get into a bidding war with them?? Wenger has his eye on somebody we've never heard of, and after a season with us, will never hear his name anywhere again.Bob Bayliss wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 6:49 amSer expectations so low that if we get Mahrez it would seem like we've landed Messi
Well this mug won't be buying tickets, thing is, paint it any colour you like no CL League football means big black hole in budget...

Likely the amount is armotised over a period in regular payments to the selling club so the intial cost to the club is a fraction of the total financial outlay unless it's a pure cash deal. If he said it then the club wanted him to say it.
Cracking stuff. This will be an entertaining shit show.
Transfer window: exposing the widely held myths about how clubs sign players

"This is a universal accounting practice called player amortisation, and it is fundamental to how clubs calculate player costs. Rather than recording the entire purchase when it was made, the club will spread the transfer fee over the length of the player’s contract"
I'm not sure there were many 'myths' busted. Amortisation is depreciation by another name and is standard accounting practice and has no connection to cash movements.
The statement below is taken directly from our financial report. We report player registration and aromatisation on our cash flow statement.
Player registrations:
The costs associated with acquiring players’ registrations or extending their contracts, including agents’ fees, are capitalised and amortised, in equal instalments, over the period of the respective players’ contracts. Where a contract life is renegotiated the unamortised costs, together with the new costs relating to the contract extension, are amortised over the term of the new contract. Where the acquisition of a player registration involves a non-cash consideration, such as an exchange for another player registration, the transaction is accounted for using an estimate of market value for the non-cash consideration. Under the conditions of certain transfer agreements or contract renegotiations, further fees will be payable in the event of the players concerned making a certain number of First Team appearances or on the occurrence of certain other specified future events. Liabilities in respect of these additional fees are accounted for, as provisions, when it becomes probable that the number of appearances will be achieved or the specified future events will occur.
Perfect scenario if we're ever gonna get rid of Wenger and Kroenke.Eboue-Why? wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 7:36 amImagine we sell Sanchez, buy nobody and are 2 down to Bournemouth after 70 mins![]()

It all starts because some useless journo said the club doesn't have any money. Hook line sinker suddenly everybody is up in arms. This is what the fraud has done to the fanbase. There isn't a more gullible fanbase in world football.MrT wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 12:30 amThe club has more liquid cash than any other top club in football, I believe. No other so called top club would talk about factoring player's wages into the transfer fees, what a load of shite. When was the last time you saw either Manc clubs or Chelsea talk about player amortisation? Laughable.
This whole ''no money available'' reeks of PR guff from the club to deflect away from Wenger's ineptitude.
