The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Spuds have done decent business so far - Aurier is at least as good as Walker and they made 30m on the sale/purchase. Llorente is a good back up striker to have.

Everton want to sign Lucas Perez on loan

But AFC have said that they will not loan players to their rivals - obviously they have no problem selling their best players to rivals (rvp, nasri, greedybarndoor, the ox etc), but loaning them is a no no  Is one to assume that the club now see everton as more of a rival to us than the victims ? Oh how the mighty have fallen

I think he has been quoted out of context there. I think he was refering to a dump he just had. :rubchin:

Cheers DB10...i can now go to work without any distractions :rubchin:

On a serious note, how fucking bad is it, that on deadline day I'm hoping we don't sign anybody, in the slim hope that we reach rock bottom and spark some sort of change :(
I'm with this hope we have a disastrous day so the pressure mount seven more, can't make my mind up if its better sanchez stays or goes . If he stays Wenger will play him and could be effectively carrying a passenger and create a poor atmosphere in the dressing room or he goes last minute and we fail to find a replacement and the ship sinks even further. I can't for the life of me think why Draxler would want to join this shit show.

How has it come to this after 40 years of supporting this club wanting my team to burn :( :(
You want it to burn for the greater good mate. Any sane person can see that to get anything like what would resemble the Arsenal we love (and i've only been going 25 years), It has to get much much worse before its able to get better.

Some will say they can never want the club to lose or wish bad on the club but its way past all of that now.

This is true I am looking at the bigger picture and have taken a lot of abuse over the last few years from fans who couldn't see it , I think it is different now though we may have a breakthrough after today. Next home game could be interesting.
Looks like spurs have gazumped Chelsea for LLorente too with Jansen leaving.

hes no replacement for sanchez but overall id take barkely in a heartbeat under normal circumstances, unfortunately Barkelys been doing fuck all for too long and needs a decent manager behind him to get him into gear, wenger isn't that man,Barkley would be a perfect in wengers arsenal, another dosser wasting his career on easy street

City will make a £70m cash bid for Chile forward Sanchez, 28, and have already sent a team of legal and medical officials to South America to get the deal done as quickly as possible. (Independent)

See! now THAT is how you get a deal done. Cash! BANG! - Medical - Cough! Yup! Thata'll do.

ive got abuse for wanting the club to lose over the past few years but now I think everybody can see it finally makes sense,we need this melt down to continue,i don't think even wenger could survive a nuclear melt down which looks like is finally on the way.the way I see it is that if you are wanting Arsenal to win right now you support wenger,if you want Arsenal to lose for the greater good then you are an Arsenal supporter, isnt it sad that its come to this, anybody who says ' I cant understand why youd want us to lose, you aren't a true supporter' can just go fuck themselves, ive been a gooner 40 years and was a regular standing on the northbank and clock end so I think I qualify as a true supporter
