THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wise words from Motty on how he didn't want to leave when people start saying he's lost it. A certain French ignoramus might want to listen up.

I keep saying it, but you have to hand it to the old bastard, he's fucking brilliant. He knew that he'd get questioned about the final year of contract fiasco (which is totally scandalous), so did his research and comes up with 107 examples. To the moronic (aka Arsenal supporters) and the uninitiated, it makes our 5 or 6 in this category seem insignificant.
Now, we know that out of 92 League clubs, our proportion is clearly above average. Most important of all, the vast majority of the 107 will be players that are about to retire, or move down a level, or are crap and no longer wanted by their club. What there won't be, are many players worth 40, 50, or 60 million, who we'd love to retain, but who'll walk away on a free, waving two fingers at us !!
The fucker knows that no one in the room will have the details to hand and given what we've seen of our illustrious sports journalists, very few with the brain cells to analyse it correctly.
The man has forgotten more than Nicolo Machiavelli ever knew. The only bit I'd add is that no one can survive 13 years in any top club without winning the PL unless they are devious, cunning and have an inate sense of self preservation. Whilst 100 years from now History will probably look kindly on Wenger by remembering his first 10 years and all but air brushing his last 10 years (or last 20 years
#may2025) we the fans know now that his true talent is his ability to stay in the job.

The one that stood out ,and I'm paraphrasing here, was a tweet from a bloke saying he had no doubt Arsenal WOULD mount a title challenge because we have the right manager to do it..Others agreed with him..The others are not so much defending their master rather they are attacking those that sort support the regime. In other words the failings are blamed on the dissent .Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 6:02 pmI don't really do social media BWK. But fast forward to Wednesday/today and the AKBs are resurfacing on social media..The international break has taken the heat of the fraud to a degree and his loyalists are finding their voices and keyboards again..
They are confusing loyalty to the team/club with unconditional love for Wenger...The resistance isn't going away lightly.![]()
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I shutdown my twitter account precisely because of that sort of bollocks. Don't really mind people being AKB but it is just the ridiculous stuff like that does it for me. Also that you get so called Arsenal fans calling Tony Adams a drunk because he spoke out about Wenger's lack of coaching ability.Bradywasking wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:22 pmThe one that stood out ,and I'm paraphrasing here, was a tweet from a bloke saying he had no doubt Arsenal WOULD mount a title challenge because we have the right manager to do it..Others agreed with him..The others are not so much defending their master rather they are attacking those that sort support the regime. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I've said it a few times on here that I don't think some people understand the full extent of the AKB disease and how far removed they are from the problems at this club. They see the club, Wenger and the players all as one and offer unconditional support.NickF wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:32 pmI shutdown my twitter account precisely because of that sort of bollocks. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I wonder how many of those old school Gooners you mention were actual proper Gooners going to games every week back in the 60's and 70's, or are just blokes that liked Arsenal and then later in life made enough money to buy an ST and jumped on the Premier League bandwagon...? I wonder because it was old school Gooners in 1966 that protested and boycotted en masse until the Board sacked Billy Wright.General wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 6:04 pmI think a lot of people underestimate the resilience of AKBs and their die hard cultish behaviour. Strangely a lot of them are old school Gooners who will tell you it was much worse in the 60s and 70s. They don't see the distinction between supporting the team and supporting the regime. What's worse, they will tell you they see the need for change but won't do anything about it.Bradywasking wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 5:56 pmAfter Anfield and Stoke and the transfer window I was nearly convinced that the end was nigh...The Sunday Supplement last weekend was another breath of fresh air with the journalists finally admitting where the problems really lies.

The best player we've had since the Invincibles but he will be the scapegoat, so that the pampered losers can sail on.

There is no otherplayer in the squad who comes close to him in terms of Effort, Skill and Utter Professionalism and Passion to WIN! ..Ozil is well skilled, but he is an arrogant lazy fuckka.
