Exactly what I was thinking, puts the £10m tag on Sanchez up quite a bit imo. Knowing Arsenal they will fuck it up again, but we should get PSG into a bidding war.Bradywasking wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2017 2:13 pmJesus and DeBruyne picked up serious looking injuries today...Sanchez move looks inevitable for City...

If we sign fucking Duane Dibbley then I'm done. Fuck football.NickF wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2017 11:50 amabsolute gem on the BBC courtesy of the Daily Star:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Crystal Palace's Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha, 25, to replace Chile forward Alexis Sanchez, 29.
I know it is only paper talk, but it really wouldn't surprise if Wenger thinks that Zaha is a suitable replacement for Sanchez.
On the plus side, BBC are also reporting that Southampton are interested in taking Theo back.

So, for those of you who have no idea who Duane Dibley is (and something tells me there's quite a few on here who do not)..
Here's a photo comparison:
Here's Zaha:

The answer is not always to buy
Or maybe there could be an internal solution? Bring Lucas Perez back from his loan and play him centre back?
Anyway we will be working 24/7/365 to not sign anybody.

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
The club have backed themselves into a corner over the running down of contracts and we may see some big transfer activity in this window. Don't forget to add there are another 8 players contracts expiring in 2019. The club has to do something different.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Sack Wenger and have a firesale!, might as well as the league season is already looking a write-off... yeah right as if the w*nkers running the 'PLC' will make "risky financial judgements that may affect our shareholders investment".

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I actually think that the club weren't expecting Wenger to sign a new deal in May. Were going to get in a decent replacement, re-negotiate the contracts with the new manager. However, with Wenger staying on the players didn't sign contract extension and with the rest all negotiations have been put on hold until he goes voluntarily or gets sacked at the end of this season.

Sorry I don't buy that for one second. If (nearly) every single one of us that don't actually work for/in/with the club on a daily basis could see he was gonna sign it (and we could) you can bet both your nuts that the board and owners knew he was going to sign it. He won't go voluntarily at the end of this season, and there would have to be a simply catastrophic dip in income for Wiggy to sack him, which won't happen either.Nos89 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2018 12:54 amI actually think that the club weren't expecting Wenger to sign a new deal in May. Understand #afc interest in 20-year-old centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos originally reported in Greece is genuine. Negotiations ongoing but fee likely to be in region of £2.2m. Not an immediate first-team addition. Loan to Werder Bremen more likely.
