Not only have we lost a world class player, something tells me Sanchez sussed Wenger out and thought to himself "fuck that for a game of soldiers"
If it was me I personally would not have gone to MU, I would have made Wengers life hell until fucking off for a Free in the summer, that might have stirred Kronski Beats' Bowels!....

Re: When Sanchez goes
We sell, actually GIVE AWAY one striker and replace him with three attacking players at what cost?
Maybe I am moaning too much but this busted flush has to go....
+1-3= -2

Re: When Sanchez goes
Seems this deal hinges on Mkhitaryan getting more than his 140k a week, that's not happening here, hopefully the deal breaks down and he walks for free because the thought of selling him to United would be much more painful, still angry about van Persie going there.
Mkhitaryan would fit here, was disappointed when he went to United after we were linked with him, Jose kills players like that but no reason why he won't do better here but it has to be on our terms and not his as he'll only rot on the bench there anyway.

Very true. Its why for a few years now when I am told we are linked with someone or have actually signed someone, it leaves me completely cold. I know the impact will be minimal. New signings are just different masks on the same face ...xisstential wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:03 pmIt doesn't matter who comes...as long as Wenger is there, the team, the play, the structure and the results will be chaotic.
I often watch other teams and I see players like de Bruyne, Salah, Aguero, etc.......and I wish we had them, then it immediately crosses my mind that it wouldn't matter...they would soon become disillusioned, get dragged down to the level of the dregs around them and become just another average player.
As long as Wenger is there it does not matter who comes, nothing will change...Tbh I cannot believe anybody decent would want to come.
The situation was the same when we signed Sanchez and Ozil too. A lot of people got carried away thinking this was the start of a new era when really what followed was just more of the same thing.
Sanchez by sheer willpower has had more impact than I expected but both of those players could have been up there with our very if they'd come along in a previous era. They have both been wasted ... these are wasted years at the club.

Very true. A decent modern pragmatic manager would have gotten so much more out of players like Fabregas, Podolski, Arseshavings, Ozil and Sanchez...Clash wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 11:53 amVery true. Adios Alexis - You were but a dream, a mirage of what might have been possible if we had a proper manager and owner.

That sounds about right ............ a guy who has flopped at manure, thinks that he should get a pay increase to join us

Not going to lie, hope the deal breaks down and the club are not bailed out by United's desperation.
Sanchez can stay, things won't improve and hopefully at the end of the season we may see change.

Re: When Sanchez goes
The thing is, for some reason, the deal hinges on Mkhitaryan and he (and his agent) knows that. He can basically write his own cheque.augie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 1:58 pmGunnersaurus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 11:38 amSeems this deal hinges on Mkhitaryan getting more than his 140k a week, that's not happening here, hopefully the deal breaks down and he walks for free because the thought of selling him to United would be much more painful, still angry about van Persie going there.
