He said: "Theo has been there 12 years - how much has he improved? The talk is that Arsene Wenger doesn't improve players.
Wrighty stop trying to play devils advocate mate, it ain't just talk its fucking fact....
It sure is.
Remember back in that interim period where there was still some hope Wenger would build a 4th great team (2007-2010) so many players said publicly they signed for Arsenal partly because Wenger would improve their game? You never ever hear that nowadays. They basically sign for us because we throw silly fucking money at them in their wages and there are no repurcussions if they don't deliver - indeed they are likely to get a 12 year easy ride on superstar money like Walcott did.

DB I need a fucking long holiday mate, this club in its present state is an absolute joke, the only solace is that I have not invested in a season ticket, paying those

Precise, To the Point, Correct and Quite Succinct if you don't mind my saying old chap!
All joking aside though,as pony as he's been for us if Walcott does go that's zero pace in the squad, apart from backwards/sideways Bellerin. No pace upfront or in the middle, still I guess Arsene knows......

Our "gameplan" is slow and sidewards so no pace needed

Then that means no out-ball when your under pressure in the dying minutes of a game,if,and its a big if,we are winning, and we all know how "solid" our defence is if they're needed to hold out, what the fucking hell is really going on at this club,
Word is that Abameyang is not worth signing. Fact is no other club is interested in him and he needs plenty of service to score goals. Sky were talking about him in the last transfer window. If he signs it's because we gave him a very large weekly wage and a long contract.
I think Wilshere is a gamble, how many times have we seen injuries cost us a fortune in wages. He is a good player but not the answer for us to be honest.
In fact I hope Wenger signs no one because he has lost the ability to sign good players. We are better off falling backwards and hanging in for a change of manager at some point. It's gone past the point of fixable now anyway.

I am totally on board with the no signings part cos Iwant us to hit rock bottom, press the reset button, and start again with a new manager and a clean canvas
That being said, abameyang is a quality striker that would be brilliant in a team built around utilising his assets, and that does not apply under wenker. He needs plenty of service to score goals ?? Show me a striker that doesnt. Real madrid are now being linked with him again, and if he has any sense he would steer well club of this shambolic club
Usually my opinion in relation to "trouble players" like Aubameyang would be stear well clear no matter how good they are, because they disrupt a solid dressing room and team spirit. But that would be under a competent manager. Under Wenger it wouldn't matter a flying fuck as we have no team spirit or solid dressing room anyway - as demonstrated by the Sanchez situation and multiple reports of cliques and rows etc.
As someone said earlier, it makes no difference who we sign really, not while Wenger is the manager.
Signing a top new player now would be like sticking a V8 engine into a caravan and expecting it to perform like a Ferrari.
