As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The thing is, for some reason, the deal hinges on Mkhitaryan and he (and his agent) knows that. He can basically write his own cheque.
Personally I don't what another Man U reject on the books as we have had far too many over the years.
Exactly - we should say f*ck you and make them wait until the summer when they will have to fight it out with City and possibly other clubs, but we all know with Arsene Stanley PLC they will see Mkhitaryan as a $$$ so will want to get the 'asset' in as a way of getting more 'cash' rather than just proving a point by saying no to United.
World's most expensive club to watch whilst being a f*cking feeder club..

I don't actually know whether to laugh or cry it's that fucking sad,I see no end in sight either,
Let's go through our successful transfers to and from Manu....
David Herd
Brian Kidd
Michaela Silvestre
Danny Welbeck
Anyone care to add to this illustrious list....
I'm not sure Kiddo was a complete disaster. Playing in an Arsenal team in sharp decline, 30 goals from 77 games in his two seasons with us wasn't too shabby. At the same time, we had Jimmy RImmer in goal who had his work cut out as the last line of a defence including the likes of Terry Mancini and probably helped prevent us being relegated. Jimmy was a very decent keeper for us and of course went on to be part of the Villa team that were champions and won the European Cup the year after (he was taken off injured in the final).
And, don't forget, we offloaded Ian Ure to United! Oh, and George Graham, who turned out to be a shadow of the player he had been in our double team.
All in all, we used to do ok in our deals with them. That was before Wenger, naturally.

For someone so desperate to join Pep at City, he must be over the moon at joining Jose at United.
Losing respect for Sanchez by the day.
Why? He would prefer to be at City but they don't want to pay for him now and there's no guarantee what might happen if he lefi it to the summer: he could pick up an injury by then which puts him out of action long term, like Gazza after agreeing to sign for Roma. At 29 that would ruin his chance of a big move.
United are the bird in hand and he wants to get away from Wenger and his bunch of pussies. I totally respect him for that.
I did not believe that sanchez would join manure but I have to admit that I am having serious doubts about the belief now - over £300k per week AFTER TAX would be very tempting for any players
