As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
as I have said before I don't see that there is any point to the protests unless ALL the Arsenal supporters groups are behind them also.
If they are not at this stage then why are they not ??
will RedAction Gooners be encouraged to leave the Rocket early to protest for example? If not why not ?
I saw too much apathy last season - trying to keep away from the place this season to be honest for my own sanity, however I would join in the protests if I felt that the majority of fans were gong to get involved. This sadly does not seem to be the case though.
the club can easily dismiss a few thousand supporters marching through the area, whilst 40,000 season ticket holders are happy enough to keep renewing.
for success you need:
1. everyone on board 2. start smashing things up, graffiti etc
3. thousands more empty seats
No. You will literally kill off the protest in a blink of an eye. And get a criminal record.
fair enough - I was probably going a bit over the top with that one

I do agree the other fan groups should attend the protest as well. Maybe if they don’t we should stroll down to the rocket and give them some friendly persuasion.
Its a shame that we have so many trendy beards and superfans at the Bowl these days because unlike other clubs the impact of the protests is so badly diluted. If this was a club like Leeds for example you'd have pissed up, irate blokes standing outside the board entrance hurling all sorts of abuse at the directors/manager and anyone stood around recording it on their smartphones would probably get cuffed. The directors would certainly feel it and inevitably crumble under the pressure and make a decision
Our c.unts drive their Bentleys into the underground car park next to the Armoury and get escorted up to the Diamond Club oblivious to whatever is going on outside.
I really wish everyone the best of luck with the protest and in no way am I trying to make snide comments about it - I just despair that there aren't more like minded folks who want to turn up the heat on the c.unts who own and run the club
I am glad that a protest has finally been called on
I can bring the '1886 not 1996' banner. I also have the 'No New Contract' banner, but I am not sure that banner will be relevant, given that TOF will have another 16 months on his current deal (unless there is a small chance that the break clause will be taken up by the club). Organizers, let me know if you want both banners brought. Ideally, I'd like to pass these banners on to someone else, as I don't want them collecting dust in my flat for nine months per year, sorry to say. It does seem that protesting from February to May is the only option left to us, as opposed to the much-hoped season-long protests we originally expected. We are basically forced to wait until the January transfer window is closed and the season has gone south before we can get numbers.
I look forward to seeing all the usual faces from last season and hope to meet a few more lads off of here as well, as we sing WOB songs loud and proud down the Avenell Road. Let's light another fire under that old fucker.
Indeed. Shades of last season's unexpected victory over Citeh in the semi-final making it non-PC to protest with the club in a final. We've lost any potential flip-floppers straight away. If we somehow win the final, the protests are buried for another 12 months, unless we are beaten by Citeh.
TOF's deal with the devil knows no bounds. Shite season, bottled the FA Cup, no VT; but still get into a final
Its amazing, but true, that any self respecting fan would allow themselves to flip flop on the back of tonight's result
I will personally be delighted if we win the League Cup but it will never change my views on him - we've beaten Doncaster 1-0, Norwich 2-1 AET, West Ham Reserves 1-0, and now fair play have beaten the Chavs, and we've got a chance of a trophy
It shouldn't change a thing in terms of getting rid of Shit For Brains......so enjoy the day at Wembley which is for the fans anyway, and stick to making the old fucker's life a misery !
The view last year was once we got to a cup final, most people didn't want to know anymore about protesting.
I guess we will see what happens at Everton....

Sorry Sean but the problem with the numbers at protests is not flip floppers but the WOB. You know the ones, I'm wenger out and would do anything to remove him.....but do something, nah.

I am hoping we win the final but still think that Wenger should go (but he won't)
this protest I am afraid won't amount to anything now, because you will not get any media backing.
you can't get to a final and have protests at the same time, it just doesn't look good.
consider this though - just met my Chelsea colleague at work who is far from unhappy at the result last night, as he knows it will keep Wenger in his job

Spot on mate, and that's why Wenger, Kroenke etc carry on doing what they do

Also despite the predicted clusterfuck in the league Wenker will be able to spin in to Kronke (who knows diddly squat about football ) as success.
You know, the day at Wembley wearing your best suit, meeting and greeting big knobs, the chance of silverware, all those happy fans kitted out in new kit , what’s that Stan a souvenir cup final kit, no , don’t think that has been done before..........
So Wenker will, in the eyes of the owner, have had another successful season, with no reason to envoke the release clause with a year to go in his contract......who knows, possibly even earns himself another extension - got to keep that “stability” at all costs eh ?
The cup semi win has papered over the cracks and there may even be a little bit more false hope over the coming weeks as the Spuds and the Mickeys have to play each other, and the Spuds also play Man Ure.
From the 10th Feb we've got the Spuds at Wembley, the two cups we can win and Man City in the league.
There's no way our ragbags are coming top 4 but there may be a brief flicker of hope for the luvvies in the next fortnight. February and March will see the return of the banners I'm sure. Wait till the Ostersund fuck up, loss to City x2 and the Spuds and the old c.unt will have nowhere to hide
