I bet you won’t see many pics of our transfer wa**kers returning empty handed from Germany as you saw when they set out to sign boomerang, it’s taken the pressure of wenger because he was clearly being left out of the negotiating (don’t laugh) team so the c**t is shit stain free on this one. Every club must love seeing our tight c**ts at the door, bean counters to a man, obsessed with the bottom line, all about value and not a clue about worth.
Should be interesting if Giroud ends up at Chelsea on deadline night, imagine the rest of the season with Wellwide leading the line!
Well this does not bode well for our next Manager does it. He will list players he wants and our crack new transfer team will negotiate and come back empty handed. It's been going on for years like this while we waste money on poorer players who cost less. It's the Kroenke Arsenal way you know. Still make sure you buy the shirt and pay the highest price for your match ticket.
The thing is we don't know who sets the limits on how much we are willing to pay. For example it has been widely reported that Dortmund want around 60m for Aubameyang. We can afford it so why are we messing around trying to do it on the cheap?

Is this down to Wenger's valuation or is it our negotiators (can't really imagine Kroenke has any input as he wouldn't have a clue)?

I think clubs now see us coming and know that it's going to be hard work. The reputation we have with other clubs over transfers has meant that patience on their side is wafer thin. Word has got out about how difficult we are to deal with and I now think the other side now make things crystal clear, pay this and it's done. After years of pissing clubs off by dragging things out or changing our minds right at the end, the selling clubs seem less willing to make life easy. I completely understand that. Wanker has fucked about so many times, wasted the time of so many clubs and been as usual, so fucking disrespectful and ego-centric that clubs must hate dealing with us. I read a year or so ago a piece in a French or Belgian sports paper about our reputation in transfer dealings. Smaller clubs in less wealthy leagues hate dealing with us because they think we try to rip them off and belittle them and can't understand why we won't pay the asking price when it's not mega money and it doesn't really matter to us and bigger teams fucking hate dealing with us because we are seen as unreliable, time wasters and won't do things the easy or most convenient way which every other club does. The piece also said that clubs have been messed around by us so many times that they are happier to sell to other clubs just because they know the deal will be easier and quicker.
It's all a fucking mess really. Like most other parts of the club. We knew Sanchez was going in March last year by all accounts. How much time do you need? And don't even get me started on that pathetic, no intention to buy, €100m bid for Thomas Lemar last summer.

Apparently, the government have enlisted Arsenal's transfer negotiator's, to assist them with a Brexit deal.

I hope the Aubamayang deal happens. I hope they are not stalling because Iwobi has scored a couple of goals recently, and are being persuaded by Wenger.
It doesn't help our cause when we get listed as one of the richest clubs in the world. If there is one thing about Arsenal, they've never liked being held to ransom by players or clubs.

We can't do a a deal for shit - in or out.

We all wanted rid of Theo but we just lay down and accepted the first bid that came in from Everton. The fact he's English adds a premium straight away plus he had scored over 100 goals for the club so 20m in the current cluster fuck, inflated joke of a market was a really shite deal.

Sorry to harp back to my favourite banter transfer of all time but Jordan Ibe went from Liverpool to Bournemouth for 15m the previous window. We should have had at least another 10 million for Walcott had we been any good at negotiating.

We've no fucking grasp of the market as Dortmund have just discovered. JOKE.

It will be interesting to see if our transfer negotiations improve when Raul Sanhelli arrives full time, from what i can gather one of his main jobs at Barca was contract/transfer negotiations.

Technically things should improve with Sven identifying players and Raul completing the deals, but there is always the elephant in the room that is AW screwing things up.

Out of interest does anyone know exactly who does the negotiations on our side currently?

it should also make it more apparant exactly how much cash is/has been available all this time if we suddenly start making serious valuable deals for players and there is less penny pinching :rubchin:

I would rather take 20m and be sure that he is gone, than try and get a few million extra and have the other club pull out of the deal - tbh I would have been quite happy to give him away on a free 8)

As I said earlier, we actually did well to get any sort of transfer fee for Walcott. Traditionally a player who is due a testimonial is allowed a free transfer in lieu, which enables him to take a much higher "signing on fee" or wage from the club he moves to.

Listen Wally is shit, but if you measure shitness using the theorem of Jordan Ibe then his value is more than 20 million squids.

True, but I suspect the 100k pw that Wally was on is a bit higher than Ibe's salary.

Maybe its the end of the british premium, barkley and walcott transfers were quite low

I don't think we have a single top english talent? kane, delli ali, ox, lalana, walcott, stones, barkley, sterling, walker?

vs

gerrard, beckham, scholes, lumpard, merson. cole, campbell, wright, shearer, owen, terry, adams, gazza, sheringham, keown, dicko, terdinand, ugly neviile sister... and Darren Anderton  8)

i might have mixed two generations but it seems english football or youth coaching has gone backwards :rubchin:

we have gone from a quater final team, to a lucky to get out of our group team.

we used to be able to pick two decent back lines, and have a few midfielders to spare, now i can't make a good 11 out of what we got.
