here's me fantasizing about plum draws in the next round and great away trips and Arsenal yet again manage to make even my lowly expectations seems to much for them - 2-0 down! honestly i only just switched on the telly- fucking hell this is an all time low and that is saying something

Any club other than Arsenal and Wenger would have been sacked years ago. The prawn sandwich brigade, Ty the walking merchandise shop and all the Akbs your Wenger boys are taking a hell of a beating.

Mark i'm not saying a decent manager couldn't improve them but there is only so much you can do with individual players, the skill and mentality of far too many of our players is lacking and a decent tactical setup will not change it enough for us to meaningfully challenge with these players.markyp wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:47 pmIt isn't the players, it's the manager, a decent manager would be pissing this tonight with this teamGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:45 pmSome people recently disagreed with me when i said that any new manager would have to change 10-15 players, i stand by my argument that there are many players in this team who are not good enough and never will be no matter who the manager is
The ability of the reserve/backup players is just far far too poor and crucially some of our younger players have learned their bread and butter introduction to senior football under Wenger rather than a good coach, to reverse skills learnt in your formative years is very very difficult. The bog standard footballing intelligence is just not there in many of these players and what should be by now the equivalent of muscle memory in terms of positioning, movement and decision making is lacking and cannot be retrained to the standard a successful challenging team needs.

Don’t think I’ll ever tire of watching Comedy Iwobi’s first touch that led to their second goal.

bellerin also covering himself in glory after spending last week running his mouth off, all talk no walk yet again
crying out loud, if we score then the contest is pretty much over but there is still a big humilation there if we lose or draw on the night, winning the efl cup won't make up for that

Lolstersunds. Osterlolz. Will keep working on these over the next hour or so.
United got absolutely caned for only drawing 0-0 at Sevilla yesterday. And United are an average and by all accounts fairly unpopular side with the media. This puts that into a bit of perspective.

Steve Bould just tweeted "I'm 100% sure I told the defenders about staying goal-side - 2012 I think it was"

We’ve never won a game in that hideous blue kit. Thought tonight’s game against the Swedish pubbers would change all that.
Ah well
