Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Part of me still feels kroenke won't sack him. He is the only one that has the power and I don't think he cares about football results only financial results and a loss of 27 Million for CL money might not be enough to sack a manager who does not demand too much money on transfers.
I really hope I'm completely wrong here.

Having a day off work...I have SSN on but have it muted because in reality I have no interest in listening to Dennis Wise(or anyone else ) spout clichés and soundbites. There is nothing more to be said...Occasionally I glance at the screen to see if that Breaking News yellow bar appears on it...Still waiting but not hopeful..

Just as well you've got the sound muted or you would have heard him propose the Eddie Howe option with AW going upstairs in a fuhrer of football role

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
At the end of the day the blame falls at Kroenke's feet.
Absolute cretin of a human.

I think people like this deserve to be highlighted for the idiots they are. This guy would honestly lie on the ground, so Wenger would have a mat to walk on, what a bellend.

Why is what Wenger has done called 'service'?
People act like Wenger has sacrificed himself for our cause. He has been paid over £100m in wages since he last won the title. That's fucking robbery not service!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Make you wonder about some of the coints who support the club. George had done great amazing things but his management and team were called out when it was clear time was up. He did well, got well rewarded and is now a failure so should go. Arsenal is a company now so should act like one.Clash wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 11:19 amBFG4 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:47 amMoh Haider - "I refuse to disrespect a man that has given the club some amazing moments.

I don't listen to a word that muppet says.
Who does he think he is? Goes on a fan channel to get attention and thinks he can lecture other supporters on how to take in Wenger's bullshit.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
That’s not a reason to disregard them is it really. Both of them understand Arsenal, and that is something we have lost over the last 10 years with Wengers reluctance to give his players a kick up the back side. Whether they are truly good enough only time will tell. As things stand I would be happy to take the risk, it really can’t get any worse can it. Outplayed by relegation fodder not for the first time this season.NickF wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:15 amThe highlighted bit is exactly why I wouldn't hire the likes of Henry or Viera as the next manager. These type of supporters would use exactly the same line if/when it all goes wrong.BFG4 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:47 amMoh Haider - "I refuse to disrespect a man that has given the club some amazing moments.

First post this season, only back because I think TOF is finally a dead man walking. Loved this - from yesterdays Guardian comments and a marvellous accompaniment to his mad shirt quote yesterday

I feel like Wenger has something up his sleeve. He has a degree for fuck's sake. One of the ways I see this possibly going is at an upcoming press conference, he will shift uncomfortably in his seat, getting more and more fidgety until a brave journo asks why he keeps shifting uncomfortably in his seat, getting more and more fidgety.
"Ah, ze Eengleesh press is so observant," he will say. "I shift so because I am almost ready to unveil to you all, my successor." Then he'll reach beneath his arse and proudly present a large egg, about the size of a goose's, and smilingly point at it with a benign twinkle in his calm eyes.
"Thees ees Eggar Davids, and he will be answering your question from now on," he'll say before sprouting wings from the side of his head and flitting from the room like an elegant French hummingbird.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
On a related note to what that *word censored* Moh said about "respect", i do think it's a tactic from certain fans. Some people have stuck to defending Wenger for years, and now they can't defend him any longer, they come out with the "He deserves respect" bullshit. I think the likes of Moh, Memz, and a few others i could name, use that tactic, as they are happy to keep Wenger, but don't want the ridicule that comes with saying it. I remember that Tom canton guy(he runs the gooner talk) saying last season that if your protesting, your against the team. This bullshit is all done with the intention of defending Wenger.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
It is, effectively, just that. No-one is suggesting he was legally obliged to deprive himself of this unearned wealth. Which of us would do that. But he chooses to portray himself as having made huge sacrifices to stay "loyal" to Arsenal. This is why he deserves contempt. This is why no true Arsenal supporter will be content with his departure being spun as anything other than "you're sacked".Clash wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 11:19 amBFG4 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:47 amMoh Haider - "I refuse to disrespect a man that has given the club some amazing moments.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Did anyone hear that utter Twunt on 505 last night, purporting to be an arsenal Fan who had been at the Brighton game - practically sobbing down the phone. My toes were curling, even Wright and Kels sounded embarrassed. Should have joined Koscielny in the dressing room for a group hug. Could have been a fake, but sounded like a sad Wenger supporter, in fact thinking about it - it might have been Mo.
