They were as bad as we were against Brighton. Result well deserved. At least we got stuck in today. Jack looked rubbish when he came on. Too slow, getting caught in possession & giving the ball away. Why do we keep on giving Iwobly a game I don't know - he's fuckin useless. This was the perfect game to play one of the youngsters. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Kryten saving a penno is deffo a Johnny Jensen moment.

Iwobi is deffo the worst player I've seen in our jersey in over 40 years. Useless no talent waste of oxygen. Absolute anal vomit. :censored:

Good win especially as so many predicted a Milan hangover. But ultimately it means little. Unless the scum and the chav both collapse the mythical real trophy of the top 4 is gone again this season.

Nice to see Ozil set the record for quickest to 50 assists in PL history. The lazy bastard.

Saw flashes of stuff from Boomerang, Micky Tarragon and Ozil that showed how potent that front line could be under an Allegri or Simeone or Ancelotti..... wishful thinking.

Fuck Mongo Deeney whose mouth is twice the size of his brain. We never needed to get out of second gear to fuck them.

But even against a frail Watford that we beat easily we always looked like we could concede at any time.

Gus Ceaser, Eddie McGoldrick, Igor Stepanovs, Pascal Cygan all miles worse than Iwobi. Do agree he's shit though, just not as shit as some of the shit we've had over the last 40 years.

Adding Alex Hleb to that list. Iwobi has already provided more goals and assists than Hlib did and we sold him to Barcelona.

Enjoyed the match. Enjoyed the goals, the penalty save and the fact we beat Watford who have a habit of beating us when we are going through a very low moment.
AM-N reminds me of a young Michael Thomas so calm on the ball, works hard for the team, and actually defends. Yes he conceded a poor penalty but then who hasn't in our current back line.
Mkihi was generally poor throughout the game, lost possession as often as Sanchez used to but still came up with the goods. There was a part of me that liked the fact we ended the match with 3 English defenders on the pitch, something that I haven't seen since we last won the league. Holding did well and reminded me of Steve Bould with his sleeves rolled halfway up his arm. Mustafi seemed to relish being the leader at the back, rather than waiting for Koscielny to organise the defence. The front 3 have huge potential and I'd add Lacazette in there in place of Iwobi as between him and Auba they will score goals aplenty.
We need to bolster our squad in the summer which is a obvious as the gap between us and the top of the league is greater than it is from the bottom.

If Iwobi and Maitland-Niles are the future, then beware.

And do you see the difference between all of them and Iwobi? They didn't start almost every game they were fit for. Iwobi is getting a run in the side that is not deserved. He has been exposed as a pubber. Straight up he is the worst most wasteful player I've ever seen. Cannot pass, cannot shoot, cannot tackle, cannot run with the ball. And yet he has a swagger about him as if he can do all those things. Of course shit for brains has probably told him he can. He will be at Palace in two years.

I saw some fans say that he played well on Sunday. I don't get it. What did he do? Any goals or assists? Any key passes? Any players beaten and good crosses made? Any great tackles? Any great effort made?
No.

He did lose the ball a few times and he cut back inside EVERY time he got the ball out wide, slowing play down and denying the other attacking players from getting the ball in dangerous areas.

He seems like a pretty decent lad, he tries fairly hard, but he contributes nothing.

Funny you should mention Michael Thomas because thru the mists of time it's been forgotten that before he scored that iconic goal at anfield a ot of fans used to give him the bird for his casual laid back style
It was even personified in his miss before that goal
There was a game at home to Newcastle the season before where he clumsily brought down gascoigne who subsequently also missed the penalty . I have seen real development from maitland niles this season
The first time I saw him I thought he relied on his pace to get him out of trouble but seems to have developed a rare commodity in this arsenal team
Sensing danger

Was he really?
I must say I don't remember that
I thought that goal was a lifetime free pass
I went to virtually every game that following season
It was all a bit after the Lord Mayors show after that amazing climax
The whole side were a bit off
I remember being at Plymouth when he scored hat trick
I can't imagine going all that way on a Tuesday night for a game that was already won in the first leg now

A landmark game for Arsenal and Premier League records

1) Ozil reaches 50 assists in quickest time. (141 games)
2) Mustafi scores Arsenal's 1000th premier league home goal.
3) Cech achieved 200th clean sheet. A premier league first.
4) Cech saves his first penalty for Arsenal but it's also the first penalty saved by an Arsenal goalkeeper in the Premier League for nearly 5 years.
5) Arsenal declare the largest gap in matchday attendance announced to actual physical matchday attendance in Premier League history.

Not a bad day after all.
