Stoke on Sunday - Anyone interested ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope we win this and Southampton beat West Ham. Anything we can do to relegate Stoke has got to be a good thing. The abuse we get from them on their forum about their rivalry with us is embarrassing. When they do get a chance to play us they send half their tickets back.

If anyone is in doubt about the level of frustration among Arsenal fans I would refer them to this thread...Just a little over 24 hours to a game, our first game in 17 days (isn't it?) and no posts in last two days...Meanwhile a cricket discussion is getting people worked up..
Arsenal PLC have done this to us to their eternal shame.
Can see the same being true for every league game between now and the end of the season mate. Thanks to the owner and manager the league season is over before it begins these days and when we're 10-15 points off the pace by the end of September I think we can expect a few seasons more where there's 30000 or so empty seats for league games. I don't think as many modern fans are even bothered about us getting in the CL any more as they know it ends in total embarrassment somewhere down the line

I'm down to my sister's this weekend and thankfully they've booked a meal out at lunchtime and don't have Sky anyway so there'll be zero temptation for me, even on slow old Easter Sunday, to tune into this total shit

We've gone from moving to compete with Europe's elite to being 6th in our own league, 33 points off the leaders, and more interested in Thursday nights than weekends. Living the dream ! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Not watching but keeping an eye on the score. Hoping the Orcs snatch a winner in the second half, it’s nailed on that Crouch will come on and score for them, our pussies have never been able to handle him or Andy Carroll.

Seriously poor match, hardly any passes sticking, more boring sideways crap and no one with the ability or interest to take it by the scruff of the neck

Horrendous awful shite to put on telly

Regardless of how it impacts wenker's future, elimination from the european leyland daf cup, would have a massive, massive affect in the home matches in the remainder of the season - if the media think it is bad now with half empty stadium and zero atmosphere, wait until the prospect of winning a trophy is gone and then they will witness attendances to rival a league 1 game, and an atmosphere that is worse than a pub team game

Whatever anyone says this is bad PR for the club. A half empty stadium in a match that has little consequence for the club with players that are playing like they want the manager out themselves.

Little by little games like this will force the owners hand but it is like death by a thousand cuts.
