I think we should sign some better midfielders like Glenn Whelan, Wes Hoolahan or Jeff Hendrick
Not sure if you’re serious or not because I can’t really see a big difference between jack or those three championship level cloggers, sad but true, he creats little or nothing, loses possession far to easily and seems to have zero body strength., how many times was he knocked off the ball last night?, woeful

Sorry about that, I think Goonersid hacked my account  :D

In all seriousness Jack has given up now and I don't blame him. Just as the Ox has started proving lately, he will go and become the player he should have become here wearing someone else's colours. Its obvious he was really up for it when he first came back from injury but Shit for Brains spent the first 2 months playing him behind inferior players like Xhaka and now he knows there's no future for him here he's given it up.

We will see how all of those calling him overrated feel when he lights up Everton's midfield, and we're left with everyone's new 5 minute hero Elneny, the Swiss Eric Dier and once Twirly goes back to his usual form after getting a big new contract

Honestly I think Jack will be yet another player that years from now we'll look back and think a better manager would have gotten more from him.

Similar to the Ox he's not world class but he has something special in his game that hasn't been developed. And no I don't buy the temporary agenda-led horseshit on here that the Ox is now suddenly delivering on his potential under Klopp - he's basically doing what he did with us: shite game after shite game with moments of brilliance and the odd 2 or 3 game run of consistent good form but mostly he's still just inconsistent and a tad brainless. Having said that I'd expect Klopp should be able to get a few more good games per season out of the Ox than Wenger did. But then so would any manager with half a brain.

Jack, like the Ox, should have developed far beyond where he is by now. That failure to do so is in large part down to Wenger.

Improved contract offer of 100k a week, still 25k short of what he is earning now. Great negotiators our lot! Bye Jack! :rubchin:

Even with his dodgy injury record - I still think e new/better manager could truly get the very best out of Wilshere - He has skills that other players can only dream about ...that ability to do things that other players cannot. I hope he stays and is given the opportunity to play in his best position.

Issue is the ridiculous contract he’s on now, if the figures above are correct. Can’t jusitfy paying him over 100k/w.

Let's bash the previous negotiation team for giving a young, highly injury-prone footballer £125k per-week in the first place.

If people want to slate wilshere over their belief that he isnt good enough then that is their right, but this season he has stayed injury free for the vast majority of time so panning him on this isnt right. Personally I agree with steve o when he said that wenker is continuing to kill jack, and subbing him tonight was a disgrace.
I think that jack and the club should agree to a 12 month contract with a commitment to extend it in january if he remains fit
