As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Just seen it. I am sooooo happy. I feel like having a cry. I know it's not all that needs to happen, but hopefully it's the start of some good things, and finally, finally, we might have some hope for the first time in 10 years!!
Goodbye you fraud, I will always remember the first few years and love you for them, but i will never forget what you have done to the club in the last decade either.
He's possibly on a short list of blokes that effectively getting the sack....but who's allowed to stay in work for a while so he doesn't lose face, not the way i wanted him to go but ill take it!
From an outsiders point of view it's obvious that this should have happened a few years ago and that it has slightly soured the memories of Wenger. That being said you'd hope that in time everyone will be able to look back and cherish the impact he had not only on Arsenal but on English football, that invincibles side was something else. Seemed a good man, initially something of a visionary, a shame he didn't really adapt as the game changed and caught up with/ surpassed him but by the end he was competing with clubs just throwing millions at it. Definitely time he went, but what an impact the man had. Wonder if he'll retire, or maybe go for an international job? Either way I wish the bloke all the best, hope he signs off with the Europa League
He's going!!! Cannot believe it's actually happening.
A mixture of europhia, relief and sadness because the club had to drop so far down before he went.
Hopefully, the players will be a bit more motivated for the Europa League.
Blimey!!!!
quite appropriate that his last match in charge will be at Huddersfield Town where our greatest ever manager (Herbert Chapman) managed before joining the Arsenal
Its 4-5 years behind when it should have happened, but at least now we can have a respectful goodbye for AW. No point in being bitter.
Personally, I think we need a strong manager. Vieira would fit the bill, he understands Arsenal and won't take any crap from the snowflake players we seem to have these days.
