It can't be Arteta, they are not that brave or stupid, they finally grew a pair and got rid of Wenger because of all the empty seats, they will not go down the road of punting on a luke warm name with the fans for fear of the divide staying & it happening all over again after a few bad results.

It's going to be a name and one with stature, if they want to go for the uncomplicated way than Anchelotti is sitting there waiting, think a deal is probably already done but they will wait for the season to end out of respect.

Nothing would change with Arteta, would be suicidal, he was the captain of a very average side, Henry and PV4 would struggle to pull it off, that Dullard would have no chance.

Everyone is missing the obvious here. Mourinho will be the next boss.

He hates Wenger so what better way to further embarass him than taking over his shite team of losers and turning us around.

According to Sky Sports, Ivan Gazidis wants Mikel Arteta to replace Wenger. Raul Sanllehi wants Luis Enrique & Sven Mislintat favours Julian Nagelsmann or Domenico Tedesco. Rafa Benitez & Brendan Rodgers are not thought to be strong candidates.
If Gazidis appoints Arteta, he should be next out the door. It would be truly a diabolical choice considering the amount of good coaches out there.

If that is the shortlist, let Milintat decide. Nagelsmann plays with two strikers.

According to Sky sports it's actually Stan Kronke who wants arteta
They're now saying that Gazidis will "recommend" Arteta to the wig molesting vermin that owns us because that's Gazidis' job.....

Could all be bollocks of course because SlySports are known for the shite talk. The whole 3 "Kingmakers" shite they are showing now sounds like they haven't a clue and are broadcasting pure speculation as fact.

Make no mistake, I would rather we appoint brendan rodgers as manager than arteta - arteta has ZERO managerial experience so putting him in charge of the shambles at our club would be a farcical move. FFS arteta is a coach of one of the best teams in world football - how can he react/adapt to having to coach the likes of mustafi, elneny, iwobi etc ?

Allegri likes using two strikers as he often does with Higuain and Mandzukic starting together. With Auba and Laca here it would be a perfect match.

4-1-2-1-2:

-------------------New GK
Bellerin--New CB-----Kos--Kola
---------------------Xhaka
-------Ramsey-------------Wilsh/Elneny
----------------------Özil
---------Lacazette----Aubameyang

Exciting times ahead.

Didn't Arteta buy Gazidis a really expensive watch just before he left? Almost sounds like a plan may have been hatched way back then?
The Telegraph is already reporting a transfer budget of just £50m for next season, other rags have reported that figure a couple of weeks ago too. Gazidis's 'we must be bold' statement sounds ominous. If they brought in Arteta I'm sure he would come in even with no money to spend, what an opportunity for him! I think we may have to accept the fact that no 'BIG' name manager is likely to come in as:

a) He will want money for transfers
b) He will want to bring in a team of coaches etc who will all expect improved contracts, and we'll have to 'pay off' other peoples contracts to get rid.
c) He will likely want some guarantees over his position regarding decision making etc

Arteta would probably be happy to toe the line with the 'Kingmakers' making all of the major decisions around the club and squad. It doesn't look promising at the moment......still better than having Wonga there, but not that promising!!

It would be a major gamble for Gazidis if it happens, could ruin his reputation if Arsenal crash and burn even further!!

Jesus cycling Christ on a bike - Xhaka in that formation? Are you insane? And with Ramsey and Wilshere in front of him? So that's no defending in midfield then. Why not throw Klopp in there as manager and we can pretend to be the scum under Ardiles? Attack attack attack - oh we just lost 5-3.

I'm sure they know what a clusterfuck Wenger is leaving behind, no way is a novice getting the job of cleaning it up.

Some good and some bad in this rumour -

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ummer.html

Obviously most people will focus on the £50m transfer kitty (which is a disgrace if true), but I would rather focus on the story that they want a strict disciplinarian as the next manager - that would very much please me (if true) and you would expect that it would rule out arteta 8)

There are some other bits that should be highlighted too, and the part that amused me most was this pearler

There is money to make one big signing this summer, with a new centre back the priority. Mainz’s Abdou Diallo and Wolfsburg’s Ohis Felix Uduokhai are targets

Big Signings ? I never even heard of these c.unts before :? :?

This would be stupidity on Gazidis' part. I just don't think he is that stupid and arrogant. Arteta has no experience in management, you can't count watching (ok he does more than that) pep do his thing as experience enough to take charge of Arsenal. He'd have to have gone insane to do that. Considering how pissed Arsenal fans are, giving the job to one of a new school ex Arsenal player is asking for big trouble.

Augie who had heard of Fabregas and Nasri before Arsene signed them? :barscarf:
