As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Dippers have killed this tie. Roma really are shocking and playing a high line against Liverpool is Wenger level tactics.
Nauseating thinking of them winning another European cup.
Thing is, whereas wenger qualified for the CL 20yrs in a row with 1 final to show for it, scouser's are off to their 3rd final (including winning it) in how many attempts? - certainly far less than 20.
They are playing well and even though they lost 2goals at the end they are in the final.I hope it's Real they get in the final as Bayern are serial bottlers in the champs lge.
Surely somebody at Chelsea has got to be carrying out an inquiry into how they managed to let the best two players in the country by a mile leave without getting a shot there.
They knew de Bruyne was good because they sold him back to Wolfsburg for nearly treble what they paid but Mourinho still pied him off without giving him a shot because he would rather play reliable workhorses.
Mourinho signed Salah, brought him on a few times (even when Chelsea were in free fall) and then got bored of him and loaned him out before he got the chop.
Liverpool fan who was seriouly injured outside the ground is Irish and was in Liverpool for the game with his brother. .It is dreadful to think you can go to a football game and this happens. Regardless of who you support or who started the trouble, which apparently was going on through our the evening prior to kick off , this is a sickening thing to happen.
How many times does this have to happen with the same fucking clubs in European competitions before UEFA have the bottle to do something?
Roma fans happily turn up tooled up and hunting English fans to attack. We had it when they stabbed somebody on the supporters bus in 2009, Spurs fans had a dreadful time over there and now this.
There is nothing to say abiut last night's game that gasnt already been said on this thread.
I would add in though , how the hell did Roma make it this far.? What happened to the great Italian art of defending? Until Liverool scored I actually thought Roma were comfortable. There were a few warning signs but then as always with Liverpool when they get a run on a team they destroy them.
Penalty was harsh but Liverpool got a break with an offside on the third goal. Regardless of the two away goals I cannot see Liverpool not scoring in Rome.
I have no problem saying I detest Liverpool and their fans but the atmosphere they produce prior to these games is amazing..Even their own fans admit the atmosphere is dead in Anfield for league games. Will we ever see such nights at the Glass Bowl?
