The way the game panned out is hardly surprising,it's happened so many times there last 10years .A goal up against 10men going into the latter stages and then a wellbeck koslamity and mustiffy have a fannyfart compilation and hey presto were out.1-0 probably wouldn't have been enough but it would have gave us a chance at least.We're fucked now.
So le fartpipes last game will be at Huddersfield Quite fitting really as Herbert Chapman is the man who really put our club on the map

Thats why Wenger is going. It was ridiculous how we were caught out at the back. There was nothing wrong with closing the game out 1-0, but given the scope of chances we had, and the fact they were down to 10 men from the 10th minute, the team and Wenger felt 1-0 wasn't what we deserved so they pushed, and ended up getting caught out.

I remember the 3-1 home loss to Monaco a few years back. We played shit and were down 2-0. AOC scored a late goal to take it back to 2-1. We then got counter attacked & went down 3-1 as we were like mad trying to get it to 2-2.

The lack of strategic thinking is amazing. In the Monaco, game, whats wrong with cutting the losses at 2-1 down and trying to overturn the deficit at Monaco? The same applies last night. Why not take the slim lead? Go to Madrid where they need to attack us, & play them on the counter. Although now we are in the shit. We need to attack a team that is very well organized and lethal on the counter - they can pick us off easily.

Another blast form the past, Jamie Carragher was analyzing a 1-1 draw we had with Swansea a few years back. He was aghast at how we were counter attacked in the 84th minute, away from home, whilst 1-0 up. This is the type of repetitive shit that left me exasperated with Wenger.

This tie is his last big test as Arsenal manager. The league games are all dead rubbers, we are out of the domestic cups, so these European games are all thats left - and he threatens to lose it making the same typical mistakes that have dogged this team for years.

Where has this Arsenal been? Where has this fight been? Where has this passion, hunger and desire been? Tonight the boys played well. They played fucking well.

Fuck this negativity shit, we're still in this tie. We go out there and score and their away goal is gone, we go out there and perform the same way we did tonight and I think we will go through. Athletico don't play an open game of football, they showed that tonight. They will know that we need to score a goal and they won't be stupid enough to play open football. We can get at them, the fact that they're not a pressing team works to our advantage. It's a final now. Score a goal and this tie is right back in our favour.

Tonight showed us that we can play football. Tonight showed us that we can actually compete against the big teams. Tonight showed us that we have players who can work wonders on a football pitch. Tonight, despite the draw, we showed what we are capable of.

I never thought I would be this optimistic but tonight showed that we can play proper football. If we go to Madrid and play the way we did tonight and convert the chances we can create then we can get through to the final.
