It's back, other games this weekend

Surely somebody at Chelsea has got to be carrying out an inquiry into how they managed to let the best two players in the country by a mile leave without getting a shot there.
Yes, they must rue the day they let Petr slip through their fingers and the 12 points a season he is worth on his own

With all that OB, they could not stop a few Roma thugs with hammers!...
Thick fuckers....

Maybe I am wrong, but I believe that the scousers behaviour outside anfield before city game, had a large part to do with what happened last night - the scousers tried to portray an intimidating and hostile presence which went too far with some c.unts attacking the citteh bus  This then led to the italian fans (no strangers to trouble themselves) coming over ready for trouble and as always seems to be the case, some innocent guy is the one that suffers on the head of it

Far be it from me to miss an opportunity to lay blame on Liverpool fans but Italian fans have been doing this sort of thing to English fans for years in Europe. I know people who went to watch wales in the san Siro in 2003 and they said it was terrifying and violent beyond belief.

How many times does this have to happen with the same fucking clubs in European competitions before UEFA have the bottle to do something?

Roma fans happily turn up tooled up and hunting English fans to attack. We had it when they stabbed somebody on the supporters bus in 2009, Spurs fans had a dreadful time over there and now this.
Yep they seem to get away with it without being kicked out of Europe.

Regarding the spuds fans when they were attacked in a bar 3 of them were put in hospital and one of them was a mate of mine who I play cricket with, he really is harmless but was sitting at a table drinking a beer, he said the next thing he knew he was waking up in hospital next to the other 2 guys. Spurs did send a representive to give them get well cards and when he was telling me about it I did laugh cos if it's going pete tong it's always him.

It's fucked up that you just can't go and enjoy a game of football without this shit happening.

I detest football hooligans, *word censored*.

roma have serious issues with english supporters, have attacked united (twice) us, boro and liverpool in the last 10/15 years, lazio have attacked the scum and uefa have acted surprised and incredulous every time, but done fuck all about it.

i think a lot of the plastic mickeys should take some blame for the way they behaved against citeh, and as well stopped the police coming through as well last night, as they were there for their own protection and had it not been for that maybe the stabbing wouldn't have been allowed to take place.

These persistent incidents with the Italian clubs in UEFA’s premier competitions are far worse than anything which happens here on a domestic level but UEFA do nothing.

They are completely spineless and don’t have the appetite to take on big clubs. It’s why FFP would never work - they would never take on the might of Man City, PSG or Barcelona in a massive legal battle over it so they watered down the rules and then didn’t enforce them.

They only ever act on blatant racist chanting if they have literally no other option and even then the punishments are pathetic.

They know that the Italian clubs will argue that there is no evidence that these violent attacks are linked to the clubs because they take place away from the ground generally. They don’t have the appetite to fight it.

Don't be silly. As we all know, it's never their fault.

Well the thick Roma Ultras picked on a 53 year old Irishman, the fucking cowardly c'unts, I do acknowledge your point re the portrayal of welcome to Anfield by the scousers, flares etc...
Just feel so sorry for an upstanding gentleman popping over for a game avin a few bevvies and getting near slain for supporting the club he loves
Italy has never been hospitable, and they love an ambush all tooled up....

Augie your theory was almost replicated in an Express article....The reaction was predictable. Basically it is down to Southern media blaming Scousers for something they didn't do. Heard that logic somewhere before.
