Welbeck is what he is , just as Theo was for us , merely back up. Difference is that Welbeck has a better work ethic. However he is now 27 and it's probably too late to install a killer instinct in front of goal. The new man has to take stock of what he has with Auba , lacazette , Welbeck and Nketiah in the background we need to find proper service from wide . ( Lucas Perez did that with an eye for goal ) As always it's about three/ four players short , a spine , Keeper , defensive midfielder , centre back and wideman .

Wehave to have a manager with experience and style - and Tactical Nous. Also their lips must not resemble a pale dead rats liver lying in the road - So that indeed rule sout brendan (one finger cuntt) rogers.

Realistically, I think we need a manager that is going to come in and give the young players coaching and a chance. Looking at the squad I think we have the best crop of youngsters coming through since the class of '82.
A manager like George Graham would do wonders for this squad. In which case the only candidate there is Diego Simone. My knowledge of coaches is limited so I guess there is someone else.
I cannot think of an ex-player who was successful with us who is now a decent manager. A manager that knows the true values of Arsenal FC.

It's kinda funny to read the amount of posters on here declaring who they definitely DON'T want as our new manager, after saying they want ANYONE but Wenger. :D :barscarf:

Ultimately, unless you're Josh Kroneke and Ivan Gazidis the supporters opinion doesn't matter.

Looks like odds against Enrique have risen and odds for Allegri have fallen, if reports are true Luis Enrique wants too many assurances from our club. Can't see Allegri demanding much less than Enrique if i'm honest, any prospective top end Manager must realise that it's going to take a lot to turn things round and demand everything they can.

I've always felt that no matter our position as an excellent prospect it would come down to what the club was willing to give the new Manager and i've never been convinced that Wiggy et al would give a new Manager anything more than Wenger got.

You just know they're going to fuck this up by not giving any top class manager what they need to resolve the clubs issues and we're going to end up with a 'Moyes' type appointment :rubchin:

I'm glad only 2 posters have gone for Enrique. it shows that supporters have more sense than journalists. I've heard a lot of support for him, but I don't know why. He did nothing at Roma and then bailed out, took Celta to 9th which is OK, but nothing special and while he won shed loads at Barca, he did have a lot of world class players.

Ancellotti or Allegri, or maybe Jardim.

Ancelotti for me with PV4 as assistant, right the ship, stop the rot then hand over the reins to PV4 after 3 years, mind you I have a suspicion Lego head is going to land the "coach" role as the club move all the power upwards to the Raul and Sven show, they are not going to install anyone with the potential to turn into another despot like TOF.
