:cussing: I was hoping that the club would make a statement of intent & get a proper manager who has won trophies & had successful teams with top clubs in Europe, looks like there is no such intention & they are still pleading poverty whilst fleecing the supporters. :banghead:

If they féck this up those pair of cúnts, Wiggy & Gazdis will be hopefully getting it with both cannon barrels from the fans :cussing: :cussing: :box:

I will be continuing my 10 year not paying for any home games boycott & still not giving the club any money unless they appoint a manager who is worthy of running team affairs at a once proud club that used to be The Arsenal.

Looks like nothing really is going to change after all!

I saw somewhere earlier (I think it was the chocolate star  )apparently Ancelotti has agreed in principle to take the reigns..he knocked back the Italy job.The stumbling block is his wages  only offering him 5mil a year..

Surely this isn’t what they were referring to? A fucking Assitant Manager taking over the greatest football club in the world?

Bertie Mee did alright. he was a physio. :barscarf:
With Sexton and Howe as coaches he did. Apparently he was pretty clueless about football. Anyway by that logic Gary Lewin or Colin Lewin should be the new boss!

Arsenal have not appointed a top manager since Herbert Chapman. They went for Milan Milanic in 1976 and got Terry Neil. They went for Venables and Ferguson in 1986 and got George Graham. There were rumours of Cruyff in 1996 and we got Wenger.

Appointing someone like this guy doesn't make sense though does it ? I know that you will never please all the fans regardless of who you appoint, but surely they would want to make some sort of appointment that would unite most of the fans again ? You could make an argument that fans would support arteta cos he is an ex-player (I don't agree btw), or PV4 for the same reason, but having watched a fanbase tear itself apart for the last few years, surely they will know that this appointment wont help ?

F**k off Kronke you F**king leech!

This does reek of our esteemed board trying to be clever doesn't it. A cheap option which they can bale out of quickly if it goes pear shaped or a cheap option which they can claim was a genius appointment if things go well.

I also wonder if this is an attempt to position the new start as a coach rather than as a manager with Sanllehi taking on more responsibility. He also worked with Mislintat at Dortmund. This is all such a risky lame option that it just sounds like it could be true.

Yep, we have done well with that sort of move,Joe Shaw reserve team manager who became caretaker manager after HC died and he won the league that season and then he went back to reserve team manager and they appointed George Allison a journalist who was managing director of The Arsenal when he was given the job and he went on to win the league twice but a lot of the players gave the credit to Tom Whittaker who was assistant manager to both HC and Allison and he took over from Allison after the war and led us to the league title two more times

I still think we need an Allegri or Conte although I must admit that I like David Wagner

If it is Buvac then we have to give him every chance and get behind him, then ultimately judge him by results, performance and progress.
Allegri and Ancelotti? Proven managers they may be, but how long would either of those two stick around, successful or not? 2 to 3 seasons maximum.
So all of us, especially those of us who wanted shot of Wenger, should be glad he’s going and that hopefully that Buvac if it is to be him will have the ambition and tactical nous to take us forward.

Worried that with the Mislintat connection there may well be some truth to this.
Could have got 100/1 last week.

Now 4/1 favorite.
assistants always go on to become great maangers don't they, McLaren, sammy lee, paul clement etc etc I could go on forever but there are too many to name,if theclub asppoint this no mark then we will know we are fucked for the long term
Is this Professor Snape bloke really going to be the next manager?

How ironic if we should get the Assistant to the bloke we could and indeed should have had, if we had not missed the boat when he was available three years ago.

I was trying to think of the other asistant - Allison -thank you !

I actually don't care who we get as long as its not bruce, hughes or moyes.

I don't reckon you have to be a football genius to sort our back five out - any manager from the top half of the Championship could do it, so yeah I'd take Wagner, but I'd rather have Gary Rowett from Derby who was a journeyman defender. he totally turned Birmingham around until sacked and replaced by Zola who lasted just seven months.

fuck a glamour appointment, we need someone to rebuild the club from the bottom up.

WTF is Željko Buvač?. No just no. F*cking cheapskate Kroenke doesn't want a manager who demands money.

Wildcard... told you so.

No of course he isn’t.

He has gone home as his father is very ill.
No chance he will get the Arsenal job.
