Ok know the salary is around £9 million a year least thats what Wenger was on, these fuckers are already rich
But seriously what established top manager will want this job.... would be a career breaker
They are a fucking laughing stock....squad is shambles...what is the budget?
Realistically will be Viera or Arteta or someone of that calibre....untried at top level basically

OK yes off track there slightly.....Would like someone with an Arsenal connection ideally, it always was that way....could that be Viera??? its a gamble.....if not an established proven manager like Allegri/Ancelotti would fit the bill if they would come that isDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 12:38 pmThe question is who do you want, not who will the fucking idiot board appoint.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 9:45 amBlimey the names being mentioned here...Simeone, Enriqe, Allegri.....in my opinion it won't happen

What i did say when GG arrived was great...loved the guy...a man with a true Arsenal connection...he loved the Club and we loved himgooner265 wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 9:18 amWhat would you have said in 96 when we appointed Wenger or Graham (true legend) when we were looking at Bobby Robson or Venables ?OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 8:58 amWHAT!!!¬?Enrique is no longer in the running??

If they FUCKTHISUP - then Gazidis will answer.
They know exactly what is needed and if they go 'cheap' and aim low - then it will take even more years to re-build the team/club...

Jardim for example has a very good reputation and plays exciting football ,also has built very good defences, Naglesman has Punched above his weight as well in the Bundesliga some of the 'great' managers have to start somewhere and do you really think Arteta is just a cone man at Barcelona , pep rates him very highly and Pochettino was fighting with him for his siganature.
There is no guarantee a big name will bring us success but what is certain is this team will improve under any half decent coach compared to what we have now.

Think we all loved GG but it was still a gamble that's my point only had limited experience but learnt from TV.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 3:20 pmWhat i did say when GG arrived was great...loved the guy...a man with a true Arsenal connection...he loved the Club and we loved himgooner265 wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 9:18 amWhat would you have said in 96 when we appointed Wenger or Graham (true legend) when we were looking at Bobby Robson or Venables ?OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 8:58 amWHAT!!!¬?Enrique is no longer in the running??

Re: Your Choice As Manager
I really can't understand the fascination with Arteta. No management experience, I would prefer he gets some at a decent level before we even entertain any idea of him as manager.
Re: Your Choice As Manager
Ditto. I don't even think of him as an ex-Arsenal player which seems to be a big reason for considering him. More like a deparate unsuccessful attempt to replace Fabregas in the wake of losing 2-8 at Old Toliet.
Have to admit I don't know who I would want as next Arsenal manager, but for once it would be good if we got the best man available (Allegri).
Looking back, Arsenal have always gone for the cheaper option. Neill rather than Milanovic; Howe; Graham rather than Venables or Ferguson; Wenger rather than Cruyff. With Kronke and what happened with the LA Rams appointing a 30 year old, albeit Sean McVay is doing well, I expect similar for Arsenal.

Re: Your Choice As Manager
Only a few of those linked with the job that really worry me and Arteta is one of them!
It won’t however spoil my party this Sunday when we finally get rid of Wenger

Re: Your Choice As Manager
What top player would want to come to a ''big club'' and play for a man who doesn't have ANY managerial experience at all? (Arteta).
This rumour needs to fuck off and die! I'd be fucking furious if we appointed Arteta as manager.
I would rather Rodgers than Arteta.

Couldnt agree more - there is a massive rebuild necessary in the club, and appointing a guy with ZERO managerial experience (and only 2 years coaching experience) would go way beyond bizzare imo

I know many have suggested that if the club go for arteta it will be cos they will want someone that wont cause trouble and be grateful for the job, but I would put slightly different slant on it - if gazidas puts arteta in there, it is because he is trying to get allies around him in the power structure. Already we are hearing rumours that the 3 power brokers are disagreeing over decisions, so an extra voice in those meetings might prove helpful for gazidas

I wonder if there is a dark horse in the hunt for the job
