THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He might consider the England job. Yes, seriously :barscarf:
Perhaps he is selling himself short?
Why not next Pope or Dalai Lama.
Sod it. Why can't he put himself up for King of England?
We are not worthy.

I read somewhere that he keeps himself fit and plays in staff footy games.
You can imagine the scenes. Mister 30 years in football gets the ball and starts running like Mr Bean, dribbling through the oppo midfield, pausing briefly to wipe away the spittle from his chin and then returning to get the ball where he left it. Staring down at his bootlaces and not seeing the oppo players diving out of his way like Keystone Cops. Getting to the penalty area and slicing his shot to the corner flag, (nah, too far for the old codger). It barely gets to the right hand side of the 18 yard box. He stares down at the turf and as mumbles something about the groundsman.

I wonder if they will still hold The Emirates Cup (Not the FA Cup version) at the Bowl this summer? :?
Apparently there isn't an Emirates Cup this year. Announced a few months back.
It will be re-introduced as the WENGER CUP :banghead: :censored: when it returns.
Does that mean all four teams lose?
no but the team finishing 4th gets the trophy

It's funny how the AKBs told us for years and years that Wenger would walk right into a club like Real Madrid or PSG if he left Arsenal, yet it's now been three weeks since the news broke and there's absolutely no suggestion of that happening at all. The only offers he's getting are from lower-ranked clubs, and clubs the size of PSG wanting him in an upstairs role.

He's pretending that he hasn't decided what to do next, but IMO, the offers simply aren't there. If they were, he'd jump at the chance, because it would be his petty way of sticking two fingers up to the Arsenal board who sacked him.

Also, I can't believe that there's only 48 hours or so left of this miserable era, yet Wenger's fucking me off now as much as he's ever done over the past ten years.

Yes, brilliant - give him the England job 100%.

Let the whole country enjoy the wenker experience. Let's hear all those "we want you to stay" wankers after he has sprinkled his own special wenker magic pixie dust over the national team. Let's see how the rest of the country feel about a few 6 - 0 defeats to the likes of Germany, Spain and Malta. I'm all for it, why the fuck after we have suffered for all these years with the deluded narcissist shouldn't everybody else get a big old bite of the wenker shit sandwich.

Also could you imagine the howls of protest from the media. I wonder how long they would take to turn on TOF if he was fucking about with their national team. I don't suppose they would be giving it the large one about how great he is and all for those years of telling us how he deserves respect etc....let's see how respectful and generous old rat face and spit the scouse at SS are when it's their team he is fucking about with. That posh twat Henry Winter telling us how lucky we are as a nation to have wenker in charge as he is very experienced when it comes to getting horrendously humped by other teams. TOF telling the nation that he is still the right man for the job.....getting the bullet (a damn sight quicker than we did it) and disappearing up his own arse in a puff of smoke with the final announcement that he had left England in a position to win the next world cup.

WENGER FOR ENGLAND :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Arsenal suspend U23 coach Steve Gatting and his assistant Carl Laraman following allegations of bullying.
