THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have to agree with Voice of Reason's point above that if the club had sacked Wenger and announced Arteta as new manager in the same breath then we'd all have been wànking with joy. Unfortunately they've let that opportunity slip and now most of us are crawling out from under the radioactive post-Wenger debris expecting a bright new day only to be greeted by a (probable) second nuclear strike.... :|
maybe Arteta will do ok, who knows. As i said in the other thread he doesnt have the credit that Wenger has tucked away. If things go wrong they'll out him and get someone else maybe Allegri will be leaving Juve by then

Have Madrid, Barca or Bayern snapped up Arsene now that he's become a free agent?

Funny how there are absolutely no rumours about the old duffer even with all the managerial dismissals and movements going on right now

I'm utterly shocked no one is wining and dining him to get his signature, well shocked isn't the right word if I'm honest.

The longer he goes unhired the more worried I get

Bumpety Bump.
This thread was languishing almost at the bottom of the forum
It will be in The Cannonballs before we know it.

Has anyone else seen The Guardian newspaper cartoonist take on Wenger?
Today's is called The North Bank Redemption.
I pmsl when I read it.
Not sure how to copy it here or if it's allowed, but well worth looking for it in the paper.

edit. Am posting the link because StuartL posted his, so it must be ok? Or you can ban him mods.
