If people want to slate wilshere over their belief that he isnt good enough then that is their right, but this season he has stayed injury free for the vast majority of time so panning him on this isnt right. Personally I agree with steve o when he said that wenker is continuing to kill jack, and subbing him tonight was a disgrace.
I think that jack and the club should agree to a 12 month contract with a commitment to extend it in january if he remains fit
He’s on 125k a week and given that he’ll go on a free then somebody like Everton will more or less match that.

The bottom line is by our ridiculous generosity over the last few years, we now have to either massively overpay him or let him leave. I like Wilshere but it’s bonkers.

Thats why a 12 months extension at his current wage might suit everybody - he says that he wants to stay so lets put that to the test. Also if he is injured for the first half of next season, or isnt performing well under the new manager, then we sell him in january and get a few quid for him.

no, just sell him. he's a complete bellend.

any player that drinks and smokes in today's PL is.

he's a luxury just like the rest of his youth class at AFC that we offloaded after paying them for eight years - denilson, diaby, frimpong, eboue, Bendtner and many many others who went on have short careers doing fuck all.

There is no "sell him" option - either he signs a new deal or he walks on a free, and I dont think he should be allowed to walk on a free

Do you think he’d want a one year deal Augie when a new manager might not like him or he might spend half of the year (or more) injured again, massively reducing what he will be able to earn next year?

Somebody like Everton coming in and offering him a three or four year deal on big money would be too tempting.

He says he wants to stay so lets see him prove it 8) Lets be honest here and say that 99 times out of 100 a player will pick The Arsenal over the toffee's, and everton are in as big (if not bigger) a mess as we are. There is a fat pie eating crooked c.unt that is highly unlikely to be manager next season, so he would be walking into a situation where the new manager might not want him either. Unless he suffers a serious injury in the first few months of next season his value will hold (british players usually do), so he has nothing to lose by staying imo - a new manager at The Arsenal will (hopefully) bring new optimism into the club and fans, and I'm sure he would want to be part of that

Thought he was one of our better players last night. Was actually trying to create chances, found space well. Only hooked off because of the yellow card.

So Wilshere left out of the England squad. The likes of Henderson can’t carry the ball or do anything but pass the ball backwards. Given ox is injured, this is a huge mistake by Southgate and this isn’t coming from an Arsenal angle.

Wilshere offers a multitude of options for England.

So we go out on pens and some deluded prick in honour of the great man himself Southgate, steps up and hoofs it over the bar. Raheem Sterling anyone?

Wlishere is no world beater....but considering the lack of options England have in midfield to not take him is ridiculous!

If he gives the captaincy to henderson, it will take the banter level to a new high and will even surpass the notion of giving arteta our managers job :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

Jack has had a relatively injury free season but hasnt looked a patch on the player of the past...... Southgate is probably right

What like running into a crowd of players, falling over and then looking to the ref for a free kick? That's mainly what he seems to do these days.

To be honest, with the dearth of midfield talent England have I agree with you. Wilshere should be in the squad.

But England are not going beyond the QF with or without Wilshere so it doesn't really matter.
