Still sounds a bit odd when Arteta is referred to as the "former Arsenal captain".
Not as odd (or as stomach turning) as "former Arsenal captain William Gallas".

Despise the spineless cowardly chav bitch. Worst captain we've ever had. :censored:

I'm sure language won't be an issue for Emery, Arsenal will recruit translators whilst he gets to grips with English if not have Spanish staff somewhere.

There will be no language issues giving Bellerin and Mustafi a kick up the backside.

For those of you struggling with how to pronounce the new managers name, simply put on your best Chinese accent and say the following sentence “You know Emily”.

What gets me about this whole manager process is that Juve, knowing full well Wenger is available, have decided to stick with Allegri.
Think they may live to regret that decision...

It's probably already been said but it would be funny (and seriously taking the piss) if we now offered arteta the assistant manager role

From a few sources I heard that Arteta turned the job down because he would have had no input on transfers.
It would have been a massive gamble but I'm guessing that he will make a very good manager in the future.

makes sense as Emery was apparently interviewed a couple of weeks ago.
Hmm sounds like we have appointed the second choice option - though no doubt Gazidis will not spin it like that.
