SPORT.ES claim Arsenal have contacted Barca and asked about the availability of Cillessen this summer.
Apparently their fans have been very happy with him this season and think he's too good to be second choice behind Ter-Stegen.

He was hopeless in the penalty kicks against the Argies at the last World Cup. That's all I know about him. :rubchin:

In fairness, Lacazette came through his barren patch and picked up again.

All things considered, we swapped Walnut and the Ox for Lacazette and got a bit of change as well. That's a pretty good deal as far as I'm concerned. Was sorry to see Ox go as I felt he had much more to give. But getting £20 million for Walcott was more than just good going. 8)
Really?

Walcott scored 18 goals in 23 starts in his last season at one point so I don't think we've upgraded, we've gone backwards and it showed by our league position.
lacazette will easily show he's a fair better player than walcott.

Wally was basically shit throughout his time with us, and I cannot understand how some people STILL look at him through rose tinted glasses
Sunday morning Hackney Marshes' player at best. Sorry to say that about ALL other sunday morning players !. Wally was fucking useless. The goals he scored Darren Bent would have tucked away !!. :barscarf: :barscarf:

This site cracks me up no wonder none of the decent old posters return due to the negative atmosphere and we are stuck with the miserable parrot like JCLs

So much revisionist bullshit it’s unbelievable.

Walcott suddenly being competent ffs he was shite overrated man boy who was no better than the day he signed.

Yes he had a knack of scoring against the spuds but he was still average and the poster boy of the lost decade.

Lacazette may turn out shite too, but he showed more after returning from his knee op as a bustling string central striker with an eye for goal than weak wally ever did.

The biggest mistake we made with Wally was not selling him to the bin dippers the day after he scored a hat trick for England. Fuck knows how he did it but we already suspected (some of us) that he wasn't the real deal and that was years ago now. He should have gone down the athletics route and been a poster boy for Team GB.

f*cking hell people give lacazette a chance will you!

We know it takes most players that come from France a season to become accustom to the PL.

I know he cost a few quid but 16 goals in his first season with a knee injury and a prick of a manger ruining his confidence is ok for me.

I expect him to score twice as many next year.

People thinking walnuts goal stats are good must have the triple glazed rose tinters on!

68 goals in 12 years.

that's 5.7 goals a season

legendary stuff right there :banghead:

No doubt Lacazette was carrying an injury for a while and came back strong afterwards the slow build up play certainly didn't suit him and despite scoring at an impressive rate actually didn't suit bang-bang,both making runs both having to check back and both trying to link play deeper than they should of been doing.

Would be interesting to see how people viewed first season of Pires,Bergkamp and the first few months of Henry it takes time to settle into a new league and the pace of the PL.

I certainly haven't written him off as many have done.

I'm not sure Fellaini would be a terrible signing if the price is right. We've needed a horrible fucker in the middle for long time.
