Dear Rob, how will the mighty EU deal with Trump...
He puts tariffs on steel, the EU put tariffs on Bourbon, guess what, shoppers stop purchasing bourbon, gotta luv the EU...
I thought that you Brexiters said that we could do trade deals easily with the USA ? This affects the UK too you know ?
Better to be part of the EU standing up to the US rather than isolated and impoverished I would have thought.
I said we have never had a trade deal with the usa ,which is true !
You keep chanting the re-moaner mantras without knowing what they mean ,a common theme throughout the so called Brexit debates .
The IMF,Worldbank, and all the rich and privileged must love having bourgeoisie cretins like you do their dirty work ! :blah:
More nonsense as usual

can you explain how leaving the EU will make it easier for the UK to stand up to Trump in order to protect 1000s of British Steel jobs ?

British Steel has been tetering on the verge of extinction for many years ,largey because of cheap chinese and indian imports which flood the world and depress prices not to mention government negligence and sweetheart deals to corporate raiders or *word censored* like TATA .
Most of ur steel export is specialised stuff and goes to Europe .
I cant be arsed to go googling but whilst im sure we sell some specialised steel to the usa the effect of these tariffs pail into insignificance compared to the widescale impact that Indian and Chinese imports have had not just in the uk but worldwide .
Tariffs are a populist measure and there will be loopholes.
Thus once again you have raised another non issue as you raise other non issues that you know nothing about ,to try and say we would be better off in a corrupt ,morally bankrupt union that serves big business over the needs of its peoples which in my humble opinion isn't correct .

ok well that's just your opinion. in my humble opinion the opposite is true.
funny how the UK is the only country in the 28 countries of the EU that wants to leave what is the largest trading area in the world.

if a trade war escalates, being outside the EU is probably not advisable but after all as you say I know nothing

Your so called opinions arent yours ,there someone elses, but you repeat them blindly ad nauseam with zero understanding of them or knowing if theres any subsance to them ,such is the world of cut n pasters like yourself who reduce everything to a one line headline diatribe .

still a lot more influence INSIDE the EU than out of it.
we don't even need to have the Euro like the other countries.

Influence for what though Rob? cant think of many times when we have significantly influenced much apart from the colour of car number plates, and even then we won on a veto

its not necessarily us influencing the EU that is the point here - it is the fact that it is so much easier to work alongside and trade with our European neighbours.

but what you have to remember is that the UK is that the UK is no longer a big country economically or military wise. Isolated it will be very weak.
however inside the EU the UK can offer a critical lever for international influence.

But at least we were able to have a vote - that’s democracy at its best :)
When we go it alone we will have to make all the decisions for ourselves, what’s best for us, not Germany & France or piling shitloads of money into propping up the economy of Greece.

you really don't get it do you ?

it is hardly as though we are dictated to by the EU at the moment is it ?
we will have far less options if we leave the EU, and if you can't see that the UK will have less influence on the global stage outside the EU, then to be quite honest I feel sorry for you.

you do realise that we will be relying on the EU to want to make trade deals with us ? what happens if they don't ?
it will be a LOT harder to move around Europe, and that means it will be harder for goods to be imported into the country.

the EU will be making ALL the decisions for Europe which funnily enough we will still be geographically part of - I mean how brain dead is that ?

one need only note the growing fury of the Brexiters. Jumping up and down like raging Rumpelstiltskins, they sense the argument is slipping away.

no it hasn't - if it had been decided how the UK was going to leave then we probably would have already done so!
