I didnt actually think that anyone was saying anything wrong :? It seemed to me to be a cordial discussion where people were expressing pro's and con's, but all of a suddent people seem to be twisting those posts as some sort of attack/rant  Most of us wanted the old french c.unt gone and are therefore very happy where we are at the mo - this however doesnt mean that people cant post reservations about any signing the club makes. If some people dont think that signing a 34 year old is the way to go then thats ok, but it doesnt mean that they are against the new regime and are not still delighted that we are now starting a new dawn - this doesnt have to be a "one side or the other" debate so please stop being all dramatic (this obviously aint aimed at you DB10) and just chill 8)

According to Di Marzio (reliable Italian journalist) Arsenal want Torreira from Sampdoria. He has a €25 million release clause. No agreement yet between both clubs.

He would be brilliant signing. Would work really well as a partner to Xhaka.

Agreement between Arsenal & Sampdoria already in place for Lucas. Only issue complicating the deal is the high agent fee which is discussed. Arsenal want Deal before the start of World Cup. Release clause expires 30th June

Wilson is spouting bollocks. Greece aren't in the WC no reason for it not to be announced no later than a fortnight.

I'm comfortable with UE being manager, sorry head coach, i'm less comfortable with the current transfer speculations, i just checked by the way we're still the 6th richest club in the world and we've just finished 37 points behind the league winners and 12 points behind 4th place with a team who hugely underperformed under the previous manager and have been living on easy street for a number of years.

Whilst UE may be a great manager he is untried in our league which is known for chewing up good managers, and even leaving great managers a little red faced. Add to this the fact that most of the teams above will be expected to strengthen over the summer and immaterial of how good Lichsteiner is and how much steel he brings I want more ambition from the club.

Bringing in a good manager in no way mitigates the woeful level of mismanagement by the hierarchy at the club for the last decade, from my own personal point of view i am less willing to forgive and forget than some on here and i have never subscribed to Wenger being solely responsible for the situation, whilst his removal is probably the highlight of the footballing year i am considerably more cautious at the moment and less understanding of the position that all the hierarchy have put us in.

Sven and Raul coming in and the removal of Wenger are definitely steps in the right direction and individually Lichsteiner and Adli are worthwhile additions but they are hardly a serious statement of intent.

I know it is early and there is a world cup to contend with, but add in a limited budget, even with potential sales to take into account, and bear in mind our net spend for last season was about £14M Unai is going to have to be a miracle worker to not only bring in the right players but also turn round a team low in discipline, confidence and especially workrate.

I'm more than happy enough to be proved wrong, in fact i'll be ecstatic but i'm not going to get all warm & fuzzy feeling over things until i see real ambition and improvement on and off the field just because we replaced the old wanker, because I can't forget the other *word censored* are still in power and i do not trust any of them or their guardianship.

Emery could sign bags of cement, bananas and socks for five years and he'd still have more credit with me than the stupid old *word censored* had for 12 years.
