Unai Emery

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought that it has been universally accepted that emery is not involved in player purchases ? :? Signing a 34 year old full back probably has zilch to do with him so discussing it on this thread seems redundant to me
He isn't involved but that doesn't stop people from blaming him.

Who knows his real input, i'm pretty sure he would have had a say in who comes in even if he doesnt have anything to do with price, negotiations or contract

He must at least have a slight involvement to the point where he gives the nod that he can use a potential signing otherwise there is no point Mislintat identifying players if Dick subsequently won't play them. That would be a whole new internal power struggle to entertain us :D

Of course Emry will have input ,it's ludicrous to exclude the Head Coach from the process ,but unlike Wenger he has agreed to work within a system that ultimately will be controlled by Ivan .
That's fine by Ivan who gets to be what he wants ,the big boss man, which he NOW is.
Having what equated to 3 newbies onboard in team management ,is also good for Ivan who unless everything bombs next season will be a winner.

But he can hardly lose can he ,ANYONE could get more out of the players we had last season and with a few tweaks and additions we will have a much stronger squad and with a man who will coach defense and attack and also look at other teams strengths and weaknesses and plan how to play them simple things Wenger could have done but chose not to because of his personal vanity .
The good thing is that if we need to spend more to acheive succsess (and thus Ivans ) he might be more inclined to get Stan to open the purse strings wider too !

I look forward to the new regime with an open mind ,it could be great . . . . . . as long as the players respond positively ,I hope they do.
The graveyards of the premiership are filled with managers who couldnt !

I’m still amazed that some people can’t grasp the fact that Arsenal FC may be worth a lot but they don’t have much money to spend. Wonga sucked the club dry so it’s no use being like a council house kid who wants a new bike, PlayStation 8 and an iphone 10+ for Christmas, you’re gonna get a Satsuma and your cousins knackered old Raleigh......
......and probably fingered by your step dad.

So after being told for ages by Le Fraud that it's tough to sign players during a big tournament summer (WC or Euro's), Sven and co have already wrapped up Lichtsteiner, Sokratis P., Torreira, closing in on Leno, Soyuncu and in talks for Gelson Martins. That's 6 players and the World Cup hasn't even started.

Wenger you *word censored*.

Have they all been announced on Arsenal.com

I'll only believe it when they are in arsenal tops on Arsenal.com or at least to be seen on the Holloway road in arsenal tops
