That must be Ronaldo's first goal from a free kick in 2 years.

Best WC game I have seen in a long time. Why the fuck couldn't De Gea play like that against us last December when he saved everything.

As much as I hate to say this, ladyboy might be a prick but he's one hell of a big game player.

It doesn't matter whether anyone likes or dislikes him, he's a fantastic player and we're all lucky to have been able to watch him at his best.

Awesome game!!

Let's look at facts -

1. he scored a penalty
2. de gea massively fcuked up for 2nd goal
3. he scored a free kick

So in summation he scored two set pieces and one goal that my dead grandmother would save - did he do much in open play ? I accept that he is top quality, but it is this "big game" myth that really pisses me off - was anonymous in FIVE champions league finals (2 v barca, 2 v ath madrid, and one versus victims)

So scoring the winning penalty in 2016 and being man of the match 2017 doesn't count.

The bias on here sometimes is amazing. Messi and Ronaldo are arguably two of the greatest players to ever play the game. How about just enjoying it?

Thought De Gea gave him way too much of a target to aim at for the free kick but kudos to the lady boy for a hell of strike none the less. You just knew it was going in.

Thought the VAR worked much better too, ref asks the question, a few seconds pass and he gets the answer in his ear. The game wasn’t effected at all.

None of this fucking bullshit we see in the FA cup where the ref strolls over to a monitor on the sideline, spends an eternity staring at it and nobody has a clue what’s going on.

The majority of fans in the ground last night wouldn’t have even realised that the Costa goal and Ronaldo goal that De Gea fucked in were checked by VAR. That’s how it should work.

Also with the ball over the line incident, you’re now guaranteed the correct decision. Good to see technology being used to get big decisions right.

He played in SIX champions league final's and your comeback was that he scored the winning penalty in a penalty shoot-out ? I come back to my original point asking what did he do from open play in the finals I listed ? I acknowledged that he is a top player so I aint pretending otherwise, but what I am saying (and will continue to argue) is that he is not and never will be a big game player. Why is it when people are pointed to look at evidence of his poor performances in 5 finals, they can never come back with a solid argument showing that he actually did play well in those finals ? It is far easier to suggest someone has bias (and maybe I have tbf), instead of acknowledging the facts that show that he is/has been one of the best players to play the game, but that in the big game finals he goes missing

Didn't see the game but fair play to Monreal.And I believe his right foot too.

Ronaldo has been class for years, at 33 he is still the dogs bollocks, remember him smashing us out of the Champions League single handedly for Manu, which he did to Spain last night, suppose he got his own back for the suspended jail sentence and >£13m fine for unpaid taxes to the Spanish Inquisition, da da da enter Monty Python...
Let's see if Harry Kane can replicate Ronaldo, and I mean get a hat trick against quality opposition.... :lol:

:shock:

Ronaldo just DOUBLED his world cup goal tally in his FOURTH finals appearance.

2006 = 6 games = 1 goal
2010 = 4 games = 1 goal
2014 = 3 games = 1 goal

Hardly a big game player until yesterday, 3 goals in 13 games :lol:
