Ozil brought his abysmal big-match Arsenal form to the international stage today. Apart from being lacklustre and creating nothing, his attempt to track the guy who broke from midfield and then wave a lazy leg as the Mexican scorer cut inside to his right foot was pathetic.

I had hoped we might get an inflated fee of about £60 million for him due to the long-term contract Wenger "persuaded him" to sign. After today, that will be £25 million at most. Still hope we cash in.

You’re talking a load of absolute fucking shite ! Ozil was one of the Germans better players! Always available to receive a pass and rarely gave away possession!
This Germany side don’t have their “general” a Moeller, a Ballack, a Schweinsteiger.
I can’t see them winning it bassd on today’s performance! You can beat Europes mediocre in the qualifying rounds with a bit of flair and quality players but you need more when it comes to the World Cup.
For fuck sake Bob!! Don’t blame Ozil for their result tonight.

I'm not concerned with the rest of the German team (though I think Kroos put in a decent shift). We'll have to agree to disagree about Ozil.....it was like watching him in an Arsenal shirt from February onwards. Stank the place out.

Are you serious? That Juventus defence had Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli with Buffon in goal. They had beaten Barcelona on their way to the final without conceding a single goal in 120 minutes against an attack that boasted Messi, Neymar and Suarez.

Who cares about how old that defence was? They were all still absolutely world class.

I understand you don't like Ronaldo, but attempting to deny his greatness seems rather odd.

How shite does that make Henry look for you btw? Never scored in a final.

Henry is without doubt one of the biggest cup final bottlers I have ever seen, so you wont see me disagreeing with that.

Again can I say that I am not doubting his greatness cos I said that he has been one of the best ever, but people keep claiming that he is a big game player when the stats and performances from champs league finals tell a different story. Accept that he has been a poor champions league final player lads and move on
Disagree, he has proven his pedigree in CL finals before and his performance vs Juventus is an example to prove that point. I reckon it should be you who has to do the accepting here.

Yeah because one quiet game means you're shite.
Muller, Reus etc must be shite too then. Not to mention Messi who bottled a penalty, what a shite player that bloke is.

Ronaldo scored 2 against a very good Juve side in the 2017 final, and scored for United against the chavs in the CL final back in 2008. He also scored the winning penalty in the 2014 final vs. Atletico and another penalty in extra time in 2016 (although that was the icing on the cake).

Anyway, I'm sure we can all agree semi finals are big games too.... well, apparently Ronaldo has 13 CL semi final goals; more than anyone else in the history of the CL/European Cup (Di Stefano is next with 11, then Puskas with 6)

Anyway, point is, he's done alright
