The ONLY World Cup thread (merged)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He gave them the softest pen you'll see as well

Even the bbc pundits are saying that the incidents are much the same, so if you give a pen for one you have to give it for both - you seem to want every penalty decision in your favour

This 3 at the back bollox is not working. Switch to 4-3-3 Southgate you bellend. Rashford left Kane middle Sterling right.

Oh look he hooked Sterling. Shit manager

If the world cup was played during the domestic season, would anyone in the world watch it ? It is (with the exception of 2 or 3 games) absolutely horrendous to watch

You don't agree that their pen was soft especially in comparison with the 2 Kane one's that weren't given?

Fat tongue should absolutely have had TWO nailed on penalties, but the point I was making was that you called their penno soft whilst looking for penalties for england for same offences - either 3 penalties or none imo

It's the same with the CL. The modern fanboys talk up these tournaments and competitions and tbh they are mostly shite. You get the odd cracking game but most games are just tedious because football has been choked by systems. There are very few individuals in the game anymore the type of players that go and take a game by the scruff with outlandish individual skill. It's mostly just players playing within the limiting confines of low risk pedestrian systems.

Does southgate honestly believe that he needs to bring in dier in the 92nd minute to close out the game ??  They (tunisia) have created nothing all game and england could send their defenders into the dressing room early to fill the baths, and tunisia still wouldnt score
