Unai Emery

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's all about opinions but I can't believe some of the OTT horseshit on here about Seamo. Granted he wasn't perfect, no keeper is, but he was the best keeper I've ever seen in an Arsenal shirt and I include Jenno in that. Certainly 100 times the keeper the fucking German clown was.

But I agree Seamo played way past his best. Even then late in his career he pulled off the best save I've ever seen. Fuck Gordon Banks against Pele - Seamo's miracle one-hander against Sheffield utd was far better. 8)

What next? Wrighty was shit?
Lehmann 47 straight league wins no player will ever achieve that again
And he cost us 2 champions leagues 04 and 06 through his arrogance ego and stupidity. He was a very good keeper but far far too error prone to be considered a true great like Seamo or Jenno.

47 straight league wins? Huh?

Anyway Phil Neville has a champions league winners medal. Alot of what players win is often down to the players around them.

Do something wrong and you get rewarded, Lehmann costing us a Champions League and Southgate being England manager after missing a pen!

Back on track with Emery and I think that we are going to see some variation in our attacking play this year. Not only that, but it won't matter how we score - it could be a set-piece, goal from outside the box, over the top, cross, etc. which is really a massive breath of fresh air.

I can't wait for the season to start. :barscarf: :barscarf:

yes, I very much get the impression that he feels we have the talent upfront to massacre most teams, we didn't buy any forwards which is something the ex-manager used to do every year almost, which never solved our problems.

Most of us knew already that dick has walked into an absolute shitfest and it will take a fair bit of time to sort out, but I think that last night will have been a scary/shit in his pants eye opener for him :speechless: Defensively we were all over the place at times, and this of course is in part a follow on from years of negligence from the senile arrogant French c.unt - however it also shouldn't be ignored that our back 4 are no rookies and have tons of experience, so that shouldn't be happening as bad as that. Socrates (sp  ) seems to be too quiet on the pitch, but I don't like the balance in the centre back partnership, and I think that dick will need to get some pace in there asap

TBH, there is so much shit in the squad you cannot see the wood for the trees, but with no vast war chest it's gonna be fucking painful watching the usual suspects hold the rest of the team back...
Square pegs round holes was Wengers fucking inheritance to us, but you watch the Wenger supporters give the new manager shit when it goes wrong, that's when the punch ups will start in earnest....

Do you really think that will happen?
I would have thought even his most ardent supporter realised his time was up (even if they wouldn't publically admit it). Just the pricks on Twitter, who are WUMs anyway, that would give Emery shit.

It is difficult to imagine given the gulf in class that we would finish outside the top 6 so we would at least match the old manager's last season.
Anyway I'm actually looking forward to the new season which isn't something I have said for a long time, absolute best I think we could do is a place in the top 4, realistically 5th or 6th. Also hope for a bit more unity between the fans.

Unity between the Arsene PLC supporters & proper Gooners won't be happening, looks like we are stuck with these cúnts unless their evil despot leader finds a new club soon, can't see that happening as the delusional one has been totally rumbled by the whole of world football!

Many of the old school WOB's will be back inside the ground supporting Emery, it's bound to go off! :barscarf:
